When I say import, I mean that I have beaten ME2 once, and I am going to import my ME2 character for another playthrough.

1) Will I be able to pick a new path through the story on my second playthrough of the same character, or is it not recommended because it'll screw up my saved data? I chose 3/4 Paragon and 1/4 Renegade on my original playthrough where I based decisions off my own philosophy, but I want to see how it feels to just be a renegade. Should I start a brand new character (from ME1 import) or is it safe to do the other path ont he second playthrough.

2) At the end of the second playthrough, I will be higher levelt han I was at the end of the first playthrough, if I saved the second playthrough on different save slots. My question is whether the game forces you to save on your old data (therefore your decisions you make in the second playthrough overide the first) or do you save on a different slot where the character is the same but the playthrough is different.

3) How does the ME2 import for a second playthrough work precisely. I know how to start it but I don't know what will happen to my original playthrough. I made a hell of a lot of decisions that I don't want to get overrided by a second playthrough, and I don't want to have a higher level renegade on a different save slot either. I don't understand how this works. If someone could explain this, I'd greatly appreciate it.
