Or a warrior joining the Templars and doing quests for them either before or afterwards. Choosing the Templar spec will give you access to their Armor.
I'd love for these to be learned through content then simply a trainer in a city or from one of your party members.

Am I the only one having problems seeing a suitable ranged specilization? For RP, I'm going Ranger for sure - but it doesn't really help ranged. The Assassin feels so.. urban. The bard is hardly fitting, and the duelist gives me melee-vibes.
There's already 9 talents devoted to being an archer. Why would they also include a specialization just for archers?

That would be sweet, but I somewhat doubt it. It'd make peopleChris Ratcliffe wrote...
Actually I would have thought the ranger specialization is a good one for an archer simply because its summoned animal adds another meat shild to help stop enemies overwhelming the 1 or 2 front line fighters you have and

invest in talents they maybe wouldn't want to invest in otherwise. Overspecialization is sorta a two-edged blade. Sometimes it's great to get synergetic benefit out of a set number of skills, but at the same time you risk creating a desirable pigeonhole that ends up being detrimental to the overall experience.
Not saying that's necessarily true. Just that I feel that it could be a potential risk.
Yeah, the ranger specialization is definately not something bad to have, as a ranged character. For anyone doing a Scout/Ranger kind of character, I'd say that the Ranger specialization is more or less a given.Chris Ratcliffe wrote...

If I ever do a city elf archer I think I'll go Bard/Assassin, though. I get the image of someone standing with a bow, singing an aria at the same time.

Despite what many think, the term "ranger" doesn't refer to the range of one's attack at all. Rather, the term refers to the territory or "range" of the soldier/park keeper's protection (as in "Home, home on the range"). See the link below.

You know I hate advocating this, but if the option here is either to cheat or waste 150-whatever hours of your life. I would say cheat.
