 hi, I have just gotten the CE and it updated fine when i first ran the game. Next, i was able to download all DLC without issues. The problem began when I finished the 'tutorial' level and was perusing through my armours at a terminal. It froze. 

I restarted my 360 elite and loaded the autosave. It froze again when i was about to meet the Illusive Man for the first time.

I restarted again and it RRoD.

I waited and then turned it on again. Seems fine initially, until my profile does not allow me to connect to xboxlive. I recovered my gamertag. and tried to launch the game. It asked me to update, again. But it says "cannot download update" after I pressed 'Yes'. (no error code, btw).

I thought that the files may be corrupted and I deleted every ME2 thing and cleared the system cache. But still it refuses to let me update (even though I was connected to live and was able to download things off the marketplace), hence I wasn't able to connect to live within the game and I am unable to get the DLC. (it boots me back to the dashboard when the update fails).

Is someone able to assist me? (I can play the game, but without all the DLC) =(

Maybe the update you already DLed was corrupted.

Try clearing your hard drive's cache.
