Ok, so Im running mass effect 2 retail version on WIN XP SP3 with 1GB RAM 1GB Nvidea card and 3.2GHZ Intel dual core.

My problem is that I cant unlock achievements, save settings or key bindings or graphics settings, also I dont seem to be able to use my first ME2 character to do a second playthrough, I have looked all over google for anything that might help me and I  found no resolutions, and I looked at the first 10 pages on here.

If someone can suggest to me why I might be having these problems then please let me know.

i'd go with backup ur saves and reinstall

yeah that didnt work, have reinstalled about 10 times and am still having the same issues
