I made 5 characters in DA:O.... only 2 are made using the CC.... the other 3 are made in game... In my Player Profile  only 2 characters appear... Would my other 3 toons be absent?....

I have tried several times to upload my character and I get the "timed out" message. I then have to manually shutdown the program because there is no way to click the "ok" button of the message since it is behind the "uploading character" window. I tried DrinkTea's suggestions to no avail. I was logged in online and inside the DA: CC. Any suggestions?

I stopped getting the time out errors after I opened up port 18081, per this thread regarding DLC connectivity:

Now to wait and see if it worked (didn't get any confirmation message, it just stops uploading).

Heck I'm only doing this for that lucky ring. In any case I keep timing out myself and thats very annoying.. Well  anyways if i could get a reply on why i keep timing out that would be great. oh and so you have to be on both the game and the site to upload?

Oh just adding me to the increasing list of players with the "server timed out" uploading problem. My entire character-creator/game/upload/social network experience has been quite unenjoyable. I hate it that every time you go to upload a character from the CC you have to make the profile picture how you want it (at least the background) all over again.... That's why my main alt has a dumb black background and a default pose... The character that is the farthest in-game so I can never change it now!  At least without restarting the game.  Wouldn't it be nice if you could edit your character in-game-after starting the campaign (at least the profile for your character)??
A while back (before updating- and it might still be a problem- I haven't tried since updating) whenever I went to use a CC character in a new game their nose was totally messed up and the last time after changing that a slight bit the face jumped to a complete different alignment (like a preset was changed) talk about obsessive bugginess.... Bio has GOT to get this character system (and uploading to SN) figured out ... before the expansion and ME2... Clock is ticking.

"I only manually uploaded one character from the CC, and it only worked after many attempts. When I checked my characters on here, it shows 3 total... the other two are from the actual game, so they updated automatically. For those that are having problems uploading, heres what I did to get it to work:
-Changed rez to 600x800 in both the game and character creator.
-turned off fullscreen mode on both
-turned all the AntiAlias, VertSync; put everything on Low.
-TURNED OFF ALL FIREWALLS -- they must be turned off, just having dragon age as an exception doesnt always work.
-Logged into dragon age account on both the game and the CC.
-Uploaded my goofball (profile pic) from CC manually - took about 15 seconds...
-Waited 5 minutes, and....
-PAH!!!! everything showed up... "

After you think everything is uploaded, turn all your setting back up for nice gameplay and turn your firewall back on... just redo the steps above whenever you want to update it... thats just what im going to do until the problem is actually addressed.
Oh, and FYI... I only had to wait the 5 minutes and everything showed up... no hour or anything.

Thanks DrinkTea - that seemed to work for me. (although I didn't touch the firewalls)

yes i am now having the same problem , only the charcters in the CC are showing up ive logged in to gameaccount from game and left it for hours but no info sent as far as charcter profile , however my game achievements do show up  ? strange right well im working to fix the matter . as for all the CC uplaods just make sure you are logged in and you just have to wait it can take a while some times  "2-3 hours":ph34r:

Am wondering the same durn thing! Wish someone would have an answer for us. My main character (Gwynn) is up but hasn't been updated in donkeys years. As for my other one (Elizabeth) I had to upload her via the game character "after" I started a new game, so she's not being updated and is stuck on level 1. What gives Bioware? Word up anyone?

I am hoping for answer to this question as well.  I've been playing for about a month but I didn't bother to login when I created my character.  I thought it would upload with my saved game data, but it still says I have no characters.
