I completed a romance plotline in Mass Effect 1, but the picture on my desk in the captain's cabin is black/black on my imported character. The love interest was present in the opening scene, so I am unsure what is up.

had the same problem, but I do believe it's because I chose the save where I did none of that lovy dovy stuff.
4 play throughs, only one had one.

I checked and did complete the romance in ME1 w/ the character. In addition Liara (who it was with) was in the opening scene, and practically made out with Shepherd when I ran into her on Illium. So it is very odd.
