I romanced ash in the first game, and had every intention of staying loyal to her in me2... but when we met up finally, she was so cold and chewed me out for my decisions and judgement.  Tali knew i wasn't doing this for cerebus and never doubted me, she earned my trust.

To me there is no competition, but I must say in defense of the ME1LI cast, They do the negative stuff first, but if you look you can see they still care about you. With Liara, after finishing both quests for ask her why she's angry when she mentions fitting her enemy into a coffee cup and you'll get the truth behind why she's acting the way she is. With Ashley, well I believe her reaction was true to her character. Angry about the circumstances and so she's blind to the issues. However, when she sends you the email a mission later, that told me that she calmed down and probably saw things Shepard's way. In that email she revealed some emotion and heartache and I have to admit I felt bad using our Horizon encounter as a reason to dump her after reading the email.

I don't have to feel bad at all for cheating on Ashley/Kaiden, because you're technically not even in a relationship anymore. At least Liara still cared, which made me feel a bit bad about cheating on her...

Ya... the e-mail made me feel a little bad about leaving ash, but to take back what i'd already said to new li's would be unfair to them

Rivalry? Ash didn't push any of my buttons in ME1, tbh, and simply threw away what little bond there was on Horizon.

Same goes for Liara, who was basically a blue ho'. I did nothing to pursue a romance with her, except for asking a few questions to get to know her, yet she threw herself at me on the first occasion.



Tali is the first romance in the series that really got me involved emotionally, as it just feels more natural than the others, evolving from the deep friendship of ME1. It's not the "Yeah, so we talked 5 times, lets **** already" nor the "So you're the only one willing to speak to me at all, i'm in luv" of Jack&Liara. You can feel that Tali really cares for the character and is willing to sacrifice something herself

Liara's the reason you're alive.  She stopped the Shadow Broker from getting your body to the Collector's.  Ash and Kaiden you can rightfully complain about, but Liara sacrificed a lot for you, even if you didn't romance her in ME1.

This is true to all aspect. I'm talking about ashley and as for an email. I don't want some shrew who thinks sending me an email in going to make up for the argument. If she wanted me to stay loyal. She should have told me out right. I've also created a character to stay loyal to liara, but thats about it. At least Liara huged me. Ashley what the hell a hand shake. I can see there was no love. What was nice Tali took her time and risked exile for me. Who loves ya baby! Tali, it was good. I say this the girl knows how to work her two fingered hands.

You know that part in the first Mass Effect where Ashely is hostile to Liara, which then ties in to her feeling threatened if you try to romance them? In one playthrough, I did not recruit Liara until after Feros and Noveria. During that same scene, Ashely was hostile to Tali instead.



Makes you wonder if they had this Tali romance planned from the start...

The love shepard had with the quarian who was carrying his genetic like quarian, human baby dies on the battle field to save the man she loves. Only to enrage shepard into a renegade in ME 3 and decided to wipe the reapers out of existence and long comes liara to comfort shepard on his ulitmate loss of love.
