Ashley compares letting your dog die to your alien allies. That's insulting no matter how you slice it. First off, she's sacrificing the dog because it's not sentient, and secondly, she's insinuating that aliens are lesser because their not human, and therefore should be sacrificed first before human lives. I believe they call that bigotry, which is ironic since Ashley goes on a rant about bigots...hahaha, why don't you try looking in the mirror lady.

I'll be sure to send Ashley to die first before any of my other crew members, especially the aliens.

Agreed. Ashley behaved like an irrational child. I'm sure she had alot of emotions going through her head, but she chose to cling to the "you're working with Cerberus part" and "you didn't call me" stuff.

Tali was far more mature about it. "I'm not here for Cerberus... I'm here for YOU."

I'd gladly wager this; if Shepard was exactly the same person he always was, but he was an alien, like a Drell or a Turian, Ashley would never give him the time of day. But I bet Tali would still love him.

That's because Tali will love shepard NO MATTER WHAT.
You can treat her like **** in the first game, completely screw her over when you meet her again in the begining of the game, and she'll still be obsessed with you.

I'd imagine the complaint was about not calling *after* waking up. Not exactly a fair setup given we're never given actual chance to make such call by the game, but less irrational than it appears at a glance. If anyone really comes out juvenile in this one, it's Shepard.

Shepard routinely asks and checks up on Ashley. She was just irrational and overly emotional about seeing her ex-lover back from the dead and didn't handle it well... at all.

That doesn't make her a bad person... but it does tell alot about her priorities. She may send you an e-mail later, but she never once requests joining you on your mission. A rough apology and some bad poetry aren't enough for me to just let her pretend that the hurtful things she said are all okay. If she really cared... she'd have done more than that.

That's statement is a stretch. She had the opportunity she just didn't take it. She just was waiting for the right one. Of course she's going to be nervous around that person. It's something we call 'Waiting for Mr. Right.'

I disagree. Shepard did try to contact her and Anderson wouldn't tell him how to do so. She was on a top secret mission, remember? How were he supposed to get in touch? And she knew that.

Well, if I had to guess I would say send an email to Ashley@extranet.  It seems to work for Shepard since everyone in the galaxy apparently knows how to get in touch with him/her.

We're forgetting about the fact that Quarians may age differently than humans. They probably wouldn't serriously start dating untill getting to their new ship.

So at MOST she's gone without dating or anything for 2 years. Considering that she seems to have liked Shep a great deal, its not that big of a stretch.

They don't age very different from humans. Average life span 85-95, I think.

I may be the only one, but for some reason it was hard for me to leave Ashley. So my first playthrough I stayed loyal to her. I even got SOME closure at the end when it shows Sheppard smiling at the picture of her in his Quarters.

Like i said, if you really want to believe

(we aren't talking about sex here but just a gesture of deep trust; something which can be also done with a friend apparently since female Shepard also gets this line. I'm sorry but you just aren't going to convince me such total lack of social experience is normal and to be expected from a 24 year old. It suits more someone 10 years younger)

As pointed out even people on secret missions have private/public emails. There's even mention of that in the mail you get from the Citadel doctor from ME1 -- she writes about some messages she'd sent to Garrus. That said Cerberus also had pretty good idea where she actually was and Ashley knew you're with them. And her mission wasn't actually that much of a secret -- she's supervising installation of turrets in a backwater colony, with hundreds civilians seeing her daily. They even know her name and such.

I'm a 24 year old adult, an articulate speaker, but I was extremely shy and flabberghasted around my girlfriend. When you're in love with someone and you don't know what to say, you get nervous, you stutter, you ramble a bit, you say stupid things. I feel I'm one of the more mature and level-headed ones around here, but with the girl I like I feel like a goofy kid.

What completely sealed the deal for me?

Used a ME1 Playthrough with Mshep unattached.

Kept Tali with me every mission she was avaliable.

At the end game when Shep was jumping to the ship and starting to slip off into the abyss..

Tali reached down and helped Shep up.No one else gave a damn enough to help make sure the commander got back on the ship.



So yea,no messy strings from ME1.Without having romanced Ash in ME I never got the apology e-mail from Ash...Liara I can understand what she was doing and respect her for it.Hell Even Tali had buisness she had to attend to before joining Shep.ANd she begrudges having to leave him.



So,yea onto other playthrus for other romances.But dang did I enjoy Tali's.

I created a character in Mass effect 1 and chose ashley who hates aliens as a romance. Then in mass Effect 2 I tried to convince her to join the crew and she refuse. I was lonely and though to myself. I wonder what an alein would be like. Well sure enough their was this awesome quarian girl from the first game who saw my face when kaiden was killed and saw the pain I was in. She decided she wanted to embrace me and feel her skin on my skin. What a sacrifice the love was with her. Then came the though as I took the rise of tali in my chambers with the cuddling. I still loved ashley and though Ashley is coming back and as my hopes were confirmed. I also saw this wonderful alien girl next to me who had sacrifced her health to be with me. I don't know whats better and what will happen in ME 3 when the alien hater only solider of fortune woman who stole my heart away. Finds out I've been sleeping with her enemy.

I choose  Ashley in ME 1 and ME 2 I  picked Tali...

My response to any  pontential Ashley Jealously  would be this:


"Ash....I died and you moved on,   I came back and I moved on."   * my Shephard in all his cool blackness leaves the scene.* 

But you have to remember by the time ME 2 happens she is not as Xenophobic as when first joing the Crew in Me 1 and after serving with Tali trust her....  

Plus you exchange  with her on  Horizon  pretty much for  her  Relationship with Shephard to rest.   I doubt there would be any jealously from Ashley that would just be very childish and she is not the type of character
