Ok... maybe I'm just really crappy... but I have max squad loyalty.... did ship upgrades... some char/weapon upgrades yada yada yada

Anyways... took Grunt and Tali with me for backup.... Shep's a vanguard

The husks... those ******** husks gang up on me and kill me! What the hell?! I never gave a damn about them in the first game!

There a good team to take em out? Plus... those... husk abomindation things.... the fused guys..... ugh.... with their damn armor.....

What's some good team/weapons to plow through them?

I took Grunt as well.

Gave him his super-shotty and he has that charge ability. I was Soldier spamming Concussive shot.

Very easy.

Really? I think I just gave him his special shotty. What's a second good teammate? Where the hell did husks learn to group like that?

Second teammate? Do biotics or tech work better?

I'd bring Jack for shockwave... Or w/e it's called.

But I used Zaeed with his fire grenade.

If you aren't playing on Insane I'd recommend Grunt and Jack. If you are on Insane I'd recommend Miranda, for health and damage boost, and Grunt.

Hmmm.... had contemplated taking Jack.....

Zaed? Don't have DLC. What's he do?

He has pretty much a better concussive shot that sets people on fire.

You need team with good crowd control, Jack does well if she has some of her powers maxed.

AOE effects are great against husks so Jack with Shockwave, Zaeed with Inferno Grenade, and Thane with AOE Warp are all good. Garrus with AP ammo is great too.

on veteran, took mordin and miranda, hardly ever fired a shot. me and mordin incenerate a husk each and miranda slams one, even on veteran it one shots them. take out 3 husks every recharge cycle, prioritize the red explody ones, and melee anything that gets past. the scions (huge armored ones) are always tricky. dont hide behind cover; their shockwave makes it a death trap. just keep moving, hit them with incinerate/warp whatever, and theyll go down. just strafe them to death really, you keep moving and they cant hit you.

Take Jack. Her Shockwave kills herds of Husks instantly. I took Tali as the other. Her drone is like getting a free extra party member who distracts, and she makes for good conversations at the end part.

Shockwave is effective if you can hit a group of the husks. For the armor, take a big gun. I liked the collector laser.

Also, I was a vanguard myself on that. I combined my shockwaves with Jack's to clear Husks. The Scions I used biotic charge to close fast then hammered them with shotgun/melee attacks. They don't tend to do the shockwave if you're in their face.

AOE Warp is good against armored husks if you're playing on hardcore or insanity. Garrus's AP ammo is good too.

Group Disruptor amo.

AE biotic (Shockwave 4 AE version is perfect for husks)

Sniper

These are the most effective tools for this mission. Which characters you use depends on your loyalty ratings and team status. But those tools will result in you not dieing repeatedly to husk lock.

Ok.... what really sucks is I'm playing casual.

That's right. casual. *waits for the flames*

Sooo.....Grunt/Jack or Garrus/Grunt??

Would Jack and Grunt probably be the best option?

I've taken Grunt and Tali with me before. It worked out fine. But I'm an Infiltrator, with a sniper. Your a Vanguard, which is the problem. Those Scions are going to be a pain in the ass with only a shotgun and no incinerate. For the husks, my advice is to just stick with the hand cannon and keep a lot of distance. And spam shockwave.

Edit: I've done a playthrough with a vangaurd before. I know what I'm talking about. Scions = Pain in the ass

All you need is Disruptor amo, and any Area Effect Biotic for normal difficulty.  Shockwave is by far the best because you can back peddle them into a line and wipe them all out at the same time with one ability.

Not sure why people think grunt is fantastic for husks he will generally just get huck locked and die if they get close enough for his shields to matter.

All Vanguard should have picked up the sniper rifle when given the option for a new gun skill so they shouldn't have an issue with the Scions.  Also with Disrupter Amo you can easily drop a Scion with a heavy pistol.

However my favorite trick with Vanguard is to AE Charge the Scion and smash it with a shotgun at close range while flicking out shockwave to keep the waves of husks down.

Actually my Vanguard didn't take the Sniper rifle reward. I took the Claymore Shotgun instead which blows through scion armor quite nicely. Especially when followed up with armor/research enhanced melee hits. Incindiary ammo should be turned on as well.

How can this be difficult on CASUAL? I half expected you to say you were playing on Insane, because then all the husks are armored, making biotics completely useless.

On Casual, you can take any teammate, and just stand there and the husks would get killed themselves...
