Running Windows 7 x64, no gameplay issues except:

Using sniper rifle, I put the crosshairs on something, then, without moving the mouse, right click to zoom in. When I zoom in ill be looking at a wall, or whatever, but certainly not what i was aiming for. It takes the entire "sniper time dilation" abilities duration just to figure out where the target is. Im basically stuck zooming in and wildly scanning around in scope mode to find something to shoot. Anyone else noticed this?

Yes - you end up looking at a wall some way away from your target, and end up sweeping around to find something to shoot! It's annoying.

Yup, me too, by the time I find them, my squad's already killed them.

What a drag.

I've had a few times that, while I was behind cover, I would use the sniper scope and it wouldn't actually settle down to where I was pointing but rather, went all over the place - however the same thing was true with any weapon in the same spot. The problem is that some cover areas , I've noticed, have problems letting Shepard pop out of cover properly - moving to new cover or shifting over to one side or the other has always fixed it for me.

If this is something that is happening 'all the time' for you then I don't know what to tell you. It would help though if you gave them a specific planet, cover spot and situation to test.

Oh, wait a minute, you not only have to line him up, but you also need to line him up so perfectly that the target reticule turns red before you can bring out that scope. Are you guys experiencing this even after your reticule turns red?

I blame this partially on the dumbed down mechanics. If I recall in the old game I could zoom in and out with my sniper rifle scope. That left it very usable in closer combat. In this game you get a single zoom setting which is not ideal in many situations. Half the time I zoom in to a big ass magnified face of a robot, when in the old game I could zoom that scope out to a more reasonable close quarters 3x magnification.

I don't know whether to blame it on consolization or what. But for a game that was trying to improve the shooter aspect of the game, I was annoyed at them going backwards.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with that.

Hmm. The sniper rifle SHOULD zoom in exactly where you were aimed before.

If this is not happening, there is a bug. Any chance someone could post a video of it?

As far as I recall, the sniper rifle projectile isn't instant-shot, you have to lead a bit between when you click and when the round hits.

I don't think it's a bug.

It happens when your character's line of sight is blocked and can't see where the crosshair is aiming but the player can because of the third person view.

It's the issue of going from a 3rd to 1st person view and it's a problem up close, as well as when using biotics with a sniper equiped. I always have to remind myself to switch weapons before I use biotics becasue it scopes in for no reason.
