I played ME1 on xBox and have ME2 on PC.  Obviously I can't import my saved game.  I did find a saved game someone uploaded that's pretty close to the choices I maded in the first game.  Does anyone know of a saved game editor where I can tweak the few things that don't match to match up ?

I would love there to be one but the closest you can get is the save game database, its at the bottom of the face database.

finally got it working. I'm using the steam version and everytime i tried to save the directory it would come up with "application has stopped responding" and then even when it did not it would not show my savegames. I completed the game twice to get the save games only to find neither worked. then i downloaded a fresh one from the save game site and it work right away. my charactor has got the wrong name as it s someone elses save game but at least it works properly. i kinda wished id sorted it out earlier coz when i first played i cud not get it working and i just played anyhoo but much in the game was ruined as the council were dead, wrex was dead, and lots of other little changes. I kinda ruined my experience coz now ive loaded the savegame my second playthrough does not have the same impact.

still a bloody good game tho :P

There is a save game editor for ME2, that you can use to change your name and background and stuff. You'll have to wait until the training mission to use it, as that is the first place you can save your game. I used that masseffectsaves site, and then just went and changed everything to match my ME1 char.

What exactly do you want to change?

You can change appearance and class, iirc.
Not sure about the rest.

You can't change story choices made.

You want to tweak your ME1 save(or the one you borrowed)? You can do that...

Just import the ME1 save, start a new ME2 game with that character/save, then, save the game as soon as you wake up in the medical lab. After that, just open that save in the ME2 save editor and tweak your ME1 settings to whatever you want them to be. Go to your ME2 settings and change the plot to 'LivedToFightAgain' so the game thinks you've finished. Save it, then start a brand new ME2 game and import that save.

Not sure if that's what you mean or not. If not, I apologize.
