First off, I apologize if this has been mentioned before. There is one thing that sticks out as odd for me during this mission. Why are there Mechs in that mission? It was my understanding that the Mechs used in ME2 were created as a need to fill in the holes left by the battle with Sovreign and Saren. The ship that Jacob's father and crew were in crashed TEN YEARS before Shepard awoke. So it would stand to reason that they would use older Mechs if at all. In fact they were all but pretty much outlawed before that time with the exception of a handful of groups on Noveria working on various AI subroutines and such, specifically sanctioned by the Council. So there wouldn't be any ship based Mechs during that time unless I am missing an important story element?
Jacob's Loyalty mission. Continuity issue...
