Well, I just discovered that when you beat the game and Morinth is still alive, you can go back and romance her.

Guess what happens?

I'll break it down into novel format.

"So, you'll be with me Shepard? You mean it?"

"Of course, Morinth. I can't deny how much I want you."

"Come here, Shepard."

Morinth and Shepard get close, and engage into a kiss.

"Embrace eternity!" Morninth screeches, doing the weird asari eye thing. Then she touches your chest and sends a biotic shock wave through you, killing you, and making you reload.

Hmm.

That was unecessary.

You'd have to be the biggest knucklehead to expect any other outcome with her, but it's awesome that the dev team threw that in there.

I fully expected to die as well. I was disappointed that seks with Jack didn't result in scars of some kind though. She's a violent psychopath and you upgrade the ship to remove scars. She should have given you scars.

It still was an awesome option to put into the game, loved it.

From the way she delivered the lines and acted, and the way she talked about her mother/her mother talked about her and pretty much EVERYTHING else about her character, I get the feeling that she HOPED you would survive, even if she didn't fully believe it.

There's also the fact that she never once came off as stupid, and there would be nothing stupider than eating Shepard's brain on the ship full of the galaxy's best ass kickers all of which are loyal to him, and they'd know what happened.  EDI would have seen him/her going in and never coming out even if all the bugs in the room were destroyed.
