Not sure anyone has done this, since there is no search function. Basically I want to complie a cheat sheet together to figure out how approval points are set up for each conversation. Allowing a person to get the maximum amount of points for that particular companion or make them completely hate your guts. So far I have the points for Alistair when you first enter the camp site. I'm playing as a girl so not sure how diverse the points are for a gender towards a compainion, espcially ones that can be romanced. I know this can ruin the experience for people, but there are a few people out there that might like to know as well.

~~~Spoilers Beware~~~
===Alistair===
-First Dream of the Archdemon-
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 1~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> It seemed so real... (0)
> Must have been something I ate. (0)
> Why are you bothering me? I'm fine. (-5)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 2~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> The archdemon? Is that the dragon? (0)
> Why didn't Duncan just tell everyone that? (0)
> Are these dreams going to happen a lot? (0)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 3~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> I'm not frightened.
> Any other surprises I should know about? (0)
> You could have told me earlier. (-3)
> Thank you, Alistair. I appreciate it. (+1)

-At Camp-

Do you want to talk about Duncan?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 1~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> I just thought you might need to talk. (0)
> That doesn't mean I don't mourn his loss. (+1)
> He was like a father to you. I understand. (+1)
> Good. I don't want you falling apart again. (-5, Exits the conversation)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 2~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> No harm done, Alistair. (+2)
> There's no need to apologize. (+2)
> Yes, well, let's forget about it. (-1, Exits the conversation)
> Just don't let it happen again. (-5, Exits the conversation)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 3~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> What about the other Grey Wardens? (0, Skips Branch 4)
> He had you. (+1)
> That's an excellent idea. (+1, Skips Branch 4)
> I doubt you'll get the chance. (-2, Exits the conversation)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 4~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> No, I understand completely. (+1)
> He saved your life by sending you to the tower. (-1)
> Yes, that is stupid. You'd be dead. (-1)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 5~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> I've lost enough to know what you're going through. (0)
> My entire family was murdered just recently. (0)
> I'd rather not talk about it, to be honest. (0, Exits the conversation)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 6~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> Anytime, Alistair. (0)
> Maybe I'll go with you, when you go. (+1)
> He was a friend of mine, too. (+1)
> Let's get going. (0)

---I'd like to ask you something.---

What can a templar do, exactly?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 1~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> So couldn't others learn these talents? (0)
> So Templers use magic themselves? (0, Repeat Branch 1)
> Have you hunted mages? (0, Repeat Branch 1)
> Seems like the Templers could run the Chantry. (0)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 2~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So you were addicted to this lyrium? (0)
That's horrible! I can't believe they would do that! (+1)
Sounds like an excellent method of control. (-10)

Tell me about the Grey Wardens.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 1~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> Where are the nearest Grey Wardens from here? (0, Repeat Branch 1)
> Is there a headquarters somewhere? (0, Repeat Branch 1)
> So what happens now that there's just two of us? (0, Repeat Branch 1)
> Will we need to start rebuilding the order? (0, Repeat Branch 1)
> What would happen if we just left? (0, Repeat Branch 1)
So how did you become a Grey Warden?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 1~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> I mean before that. (0, Skip Branch 2)
> Ha ha. Very funny. (0, Skip Branch 2)
> If you don't want to answer, then say so. (-1, Skip Branch 2)
> Don't be an idiot. (-1)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 2~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> Be serious and answer the question. (0)
> I always suspected as much. (+1)
> Great. Now you're a buffoon? (-1)
> At least your idiocy is endearing. (+1)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 3~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> You don't seem like the religious sort. (0)
> So you mentioned before. (0)
> What skills might those be? (0)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 4~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> You think Duncan took pity on you? (0)
> You think this is better than being a templar? (0)
> Why did the grand cleric want to keep you? (0)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 5~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> I shouldn't have brought him up. (0)
> I'm sorry. (+1)
> Don't start crying again. Please. (-3)
> He was a good man. (+1)

So you said this Arl Eamon raised you?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 1~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> That's not what I remember you telling Flemeth. (0, Skip Branches 2-4)
> That would explain the smell. (0, Skip Branch 2)
> I thought you were raised by the chantry. (0, Skip Branches 2-4)
> Really? That must have been tough for them. (0)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 2~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> And these dogs sold you to the Chantry, I take it? (0, Skip Branches 3 and 4)
> That is what they say about Anders. (-1, Skip Branch 3)
> Uh-huh. Raised by flying, devout dogs. I see. (-1)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 3~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> So does a horde of darkspwan, I'm told. (+1, Skip Branch 4)
> I thought the Chantry would have beat that out of you. (+1, Skip Branch 4)
> Uh-huh. Slobbering dogs. I see. (0)
> That would explain the breath as well, then. (0)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 4~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> Only ones where the world is threatened by darkspwan. (+1)
> Yes. They all involve strangling you. (+2)
> Only ones where we're making mad love in my tent. (+3)
> Not really no. (0)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 5~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> Why did he send you off to the Chantry? (0)
> He wasn't your father? So you know who is? (0)
> Wasn't it in appropriate for the arl to raise an orphan? (0)
> What an awful thing to do to a child. (+2)
> That sounds like a bunch of whining. (-1)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 7~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> And you think the arl will help us? (0)
> Are you sure he isn't your father? (0)
> You were young. (+1)

I take it no one cares for this then?

Alistair's Unlockable Converstations

Can you teach others to be a templar?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 1~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> Very well, I'll respect your word. (+1)
> You don't think this is important? (0)
> And what if I ordered you to do it? (-5)
Why have you remained a templar if you hate the chantry?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 1~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> I thought Templars wore heavy plate, mostly. (0)
> Oh? I don't think I've ever seen you wearing it. (0)
> Not this again. Can't you answer a simple question? (-1)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 2~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> And what's the real reason? (0)
> You had lots of these pillow fights, I take it? (0) / So you stay a templar out of sentiment? (0)
> So this is where you deflect questions with humor, right? (0)
> Do all Templars make these jokes? Or just you? (-1)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 3~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> I do really want to know, yes. (0)
> Then make up something more exciting. (+1)
> You don't have to tell me, then. I was just curious. (-1, Exits the conversation)
> Not if it's going to lead to more of your stupid jokes, no. (-5, Exits the conversation)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 4~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> What did you enjoy about the training? (0)
> Enjoyed hunting mages, did you? (0)
> I think I understand. (+1)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 5~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> Not any more, no. (0)
> My home was taken over by Arl Howe. (0)
> I guess my home is with the Grey Wardens now. With you. (+1)
> Home is wherever camp is. We're travelers now. (0)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 6~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> That's assuming we even survive. (0)
> They can be rebuilt. (+1)
> You can always keep traveling. (0)
> This is not the time to think about it. (0)
It's a good guide to see where a romance is going wrong as it were. But perhaps a condensed version of the best and worst options - particularly the -10 option above - might be faster and more easily read.
Appreciate the work :)
Interesting. Especially for the Romance + the character Harden dialogues.
So far these are just the conversations that are available when you first enter the camp. I'm still working on Sten since he has a more complex response layout for his dialogue. In the first set, the repsonses seem to be thrown in when there's space available. So you could technically talk circles with him all day and get nothing but 0s. I've heard there are hidden dialogues available if your character meets certain criterias, but I haven't ran into any yet. I have the game for the 360, so I can't exactly look at the source code. Condensing sheet is good and easier on the eyes, but at the moment this give you more flexability to customize your approval/disapproval points. I will make a condensed version though.
~Idle Talk~
---I'd like to talk.---
This vision of yours...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 1~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> What then? (0)
> So it's just a dream. Why say it's a vision? (0)
> You dreamed of the Blight? (0)
> That doesn't mean anything. (0)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 2~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> That's just wishful thinking, Leliana. (-1, Exits the conversation)
> And this made you want to help me? (0)
> Uh. Did you...hear voices? (0)
> I don't need your Maker interfering in my life. (0)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 3~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

What was life like in the chantry cloisters?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 1~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 2~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
> I don't really want the Maker looking in on me anyway. (0)

What would someone like you be doing in Lothering's chantry? (Codex updated, unlocks traveling minstrel question)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 1~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Branch 5~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

> Affirmed? (0, Repeat Branch)

Actually, it's pretty interesting. I appreciate the work, but honestly, Alistair's dialogue options are pretty obvious. I find Sten and Shale to be the trickiest, followed by Oghren and Zevran. The "hidden" dialogue options for Sten are ones you only get if you keep him in your group while exploring. Sometimes he will comment on things he sees, and you can ask him about it later.

I was actually able to get +76 Approval Points with Sten and his mission just by talking to the guy. I'll have to use Sten more, I guess, if I want more dialogue from him.

This is really useful, and must've been quite a lot of work for you! Thanks for sharing, even though I mostly don't have problems with approval, it's nice to know the best and worst options and what follows what :) Thanks again!
