Personally, that would be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to humanized for me. Something attractive would be preferable to be sure, but she needs to be alien.
lol how alien are we talking about?
maybe a bit of face stretching and eyes wideness but that looks sexy, her ears are ok and her eyes are perfect, just something about the hair and the face a bit, like u said a bit more alien like but sexy like too. its a challenge and i like challenge

The trick would be making her clearly distinguishable as an alien, without making her unattractive.
Night elf is just too....lame. Definately too human.
Something sort of like this fits my personal expectations a little more

Indeed, thats closer to how i always pictured her. In my mind she had grayish skin, and if she had hair at all it was shortish. I'm a sucker for dark eye shadow / gothic girls anyways lol.

Idk about gothic or any of that, I just kind of picture Quarians as synthetic-ish looking. Definately organic in the traditional sense obviously, but sort of synthetic, appearance wise.
But I'm a nut job with strange taste, so....

(not this color ofcourse more like cyan like hair maybe but the main point is that their hair are somehow enhanced and make them shine like this)

haha no way, i hope u are jk, if not i think its better if they just never show her face then lol only shepard should see it while the camara fades away or blocks off the player =p all the other races are bald, adding the quarians to that list is very lame. at least hair long to the neck is something

The issue is keeping them from being re-skinned humans...imo, hair just makes them closer to that.
This is a good reason why it would be smart to never establish a canon "face" for Tali. Too many conflicting opinions, everyone has their idea of what they want her to look like.

No way man, they probably have short hair if anything.... evolution. Long hair gets caught in machines and the like..... then you don't have any hair....or a scalp..... lol

I'm really un-decided on the show/hide debate. I would like another thing like they did in ME2, where you just miss getting to see it. It makes the character more interesting, and keeps that bit of mystery that will keep her alive to personal feelings of how she looks.
But I still wouldn't be against the idea of seeing her face, because I love her no matter what

Her side-quest? Awesome. I always wanted to go to the Flotilla. Quarians have a badass history.
The battle drone thing? Helped a hell of a lot. I know legion gets it but I didn't get him until I was prety much done with the game.
Her babbling? Adorable.
I'll be even more disappointed if she doesn't come back in ME3.

Well, the character designers probably already have a idea of what Quarians look like, and I have feelings they won't over-beautify them just for the sake of doing it. If anything, they won't look exactly how you expected. It would be like the love test for your LE from ME1.. Do you stay faithful, or go to someone else when you finally see what Tali looks like; are you shallow enough to let that change the way you feel, or do you still love her for who she IS, not what she looks like.

I'm with you on that Crimson ... I'm so on the fence. I think part of her allure is that you don't know what she looks like, and with her it's all about the personality, and as it should be. Beauty, youth, and good looks vanish over the years.
........ but as much as i like her personality, her hips are awesome....there is no getting around that. That's not whats it's all about, but it's an added bonus.
As far as showing her face goes they should make it an option in ME3 .... this way everyone gets what they want.

Lotta people dig this girl, eh?

BTW check out the Giant Bombcast. They did a full episode talking about Mass Effect 2 where they interviewed Casey Hudson. According to him, they seem to be very committed to making sure the choices of both games really come through in the third, especially what squaddies survived
