If you talk to legion enough times, he/she/it tells you what's the ultimate plan of the Geth and what are they doing on the Quarian homeworld. I'll leave that as a surprise, though, more fun if you find out for yourselfDoug84 wrote...

I am positive Bioware will give you a choice to end the geth war peacefully. That's what they are all about after all, choices.
I think Legion will be insturmental in this. He is VERY much a pivotal charecter since up until you meet him it's considered all Geth are ruthless.
From my own interpertation it seems that the Quarian homeworld has to be over run with "heretic geth" since legion represents the collective of "true geth" that do not want to erradicate organic life.
HOWEVER....... The whole quarian / geth war started more or less because the quarians wanted to pull the plug on the geth. This must have happened BEFORE the geth became Heretics....so it'sa bit fuzzy on what kind of Geth, if any, occupy the home world.
In Legions voice: Legion is Geth, all Geth are Geth. The Heretics are not Geth. The station blown up/reporgrammed was the primary base for the Heretics. Without it, the Heretics are no more. Hence, all Geth on the Creator Homeworld are True Geth.
All Tali fans, read this! IT'S UP TO US TO KEEP TALI ALIVE!

also the geth don't actually have a real quarrel with the quarians they kill people who come into contact with them but it's not clear if that's the heretics or not.
Legion and by extension the geth want to understand why the quarians tried to destroy them but ultimately you get the feeling that they will leave everyone else aone ad long as they themselves are left alone.
Your half right..... legion specificaly mentions that all the geth you have fought so far are Heretics.
....and like you said, the true Geth pretty much will keep to themselves unless provoked.

On a side note yeah this is a great thing this thread. Tali needs to be a squadmate In Mass Effect 3. But seriously let's not forget about Garrus, and all the other squadmates that deserve a return visit in 3, although obviously Tali over any of them.

I don't think bioware ever thought that creating tali would produce this much fandom for her. In all seriousness I do hope she's back in ME3. If your LI from ME (assuming you did try to go for romance right away) returns to complete the love-story-arc then ME2 LIs should return too. For Garrus and Tali there a sort of deeper relationship there. You started as comrades and close friends in ME and in ME2 it turns out that the feelings were deeper than you previously thought.
Exactly, over a span of 3 games, and assuming you did romance tali/garrus, then the relationship should be deeper than most.

That's what I loved about romancing Garrus in my first play as a femshep. I really liked him as a character, and I felt that me and him had so much history.. it felt natural. It wasn't forced, it just felt right.
I obviously feel the same way and more for Tali. She's a sister to my femshep, and the most trusted of my team with Garrus. But for my maleshep, she is more than that.. and she's not just the character I love in-game, but have loved since the first game. It's like finally getting to tell her how I really felt, and she feels the same way

True.
At the end of the first game i was a little distraught there was no romance sequence for Tali but i found it highly acceptable because in my eyes she did indeed appear to be a minor as far as her race was concerned still being on her pilgrimage and all. So her earning her name and the new romance option really put things through the roof for me.
But i keep hearing everyone say they don't want to see her face -_-"
Personally I do. because im more than curious especially after seeing that grey screen glitch of her face in the first game. I get curious 24/7 when using her character in the game lol I just hope in the future "ME3" if they do show her face (Crosses Fingers) that her race is a beautiful one, idk why but i imagined her as one of those fish people off of zelda after hearing her last name "Zorah" -.-' it made my brain hurt lmao.

Always liked Tali, but now I love the character. The way Bioware fleshed out her character in ME2 was adorable. If they do not bring her back for ME3 I don't think my heart will be in it.
Bioware,
PLEASE make Tali a (surviving) squad member for ME3.

Yea true.... but like i said in an earlier reply, unless she has a rotting, dripping, zombie face than I'll be okay lol.
In all likely hood she is attractive. When shepard removes her mask he does smile at her....you ussually don't give someone an intimate smile if you think they are hideous lol

I completely agree and in another post, I suggested it should be taken farther. I want the final ending to be determined by the player, by through his/her actions and words. How will your Shepard go into the sunset? Here are a few examples...
The Hero: No settling down, there is a universe that still needs protecting. You may still have your loyal crew and perhaps your love interest fighting faithfully by your side (if they survive).
The Drunk: The bottle is your only friend because its all you have left. You sacrificed everything to stop the Reapers (friends, crew, love one, etc) but the universe is safe but right now, it sucks to be you (hits paragon players the hardest).
The Family Guy: The universe is safe and it is time for your reward and to settle down with your love interest. (Insert Peter Griffin jokes here)
And so on…

Exactly.
there was no hesitation or "Eeeewww..."
As soon as he saw her face he smiled.
She's effin' beautiful dammit.
Bioware just doesn't wanna show it cause then the world'll blow up

Hmm. I don't know that Bioware needs to make her survive. I completed the mission and Tali is safe and sound down in the engineering deck, I can go talk with her whenever I want. Or invite her up to the captain's lounge.
All Bioware needs to do is not make my choices irrelevent. There's no reason Tali should be anywhere but my ship come ME3.

When Liz Sroka comes up and talks about Tali, Tali says "I am Tali'Zorah, member of the Neema, and YOU are an IDIOT" (or something like that).
I never got to hear her say that in my playthroughs, anyone ever hear it?
Oh and Also Kal'Reegar saying "Damn right! Tali's done more than enough for this fleet than any of you have ever done!"

if you listen to ingame conversations (i'm not sure which) I think some asari say that quarians were a beautiful race.
An Asari named Erinya tells you her deceased wife thought the Quarians were a beautiful race with 'old souls' if you choose the paragon options during her mini-quest. Talk to a green Asari nearby to start the quest (the Asari you saved from the plant monster in ME1).
Oh, and Tali rocks. +1 for Tali.
