On another Tali related note, how do you think her being exiled, or not exiled from the Flotilla will effect her role in ME3?

I think it might be the difference between her having a pivotal role with the fleet, or having the side the side role of just being with Shepard when they decide to do something about it.

Either way, all that any real Tali fan should want is for her to be with Shepard and have a "happily ever after" ending.

Maybe Shepard will do something really romantic and build a home for himself and Tali on the Quarian homeworld? That'd be worth a romantic face-revealing kiss between Shep and Tali as the sunsets on the Quarian homeworld...*drifts off into daydreams*

Well, I was thinking about it, because if she gets exiled she doesn't have much of a choice, though if she isn't she would. Of course she would rather go with Shepard, but if they ever needed her help, she would definetly answer the call. Still thinking on wether I should try to not get her exiled on the 2nd playthrough or not

And, if the  Normandy did blow up again, I would be disapointed. That's the kind of card to can only play once without it becoming very cliched. Same with the whole bringing someone back to life

I was pretty mad when I romanced Tali on the first playthrough and in a hurry picked the wrong leader for the first part and she got blasted in the face. I wanted to restart all over again.

I was thinking the same thing. If she was exiled, well she'll just stay with the Normandy. If she wasn't exiled, well, quarians stay with their ship and they insisted on calling her vas Normandy, so ... win/win for me

As for the geth vs quarians fight, well I hope for a diplomatic solution. At first I was gun-ho, but having Legion in my party and doing his loyalty mission really changed my mind about the geth. Really, all the quarians want is their homeworld back so they can live normal lives without their envirosuits. That just requires restraint from the quarians to want to blow the geth up, and for the geth to allow them to colonize. Hell, I'd try to convince the geth to just leave and colonize somewhere else, it shouldn't be too hard for them since they're machines.

Vents = Legion
Fire Team 1 and 2 = Miranda, Jacob, or Garrius.
Biotic Sheild = Samarah or Jack (With Upgrade)
Get the Hell back to the ship = Mordin.... worthless

I know many of you want a happy ending, but dont get your hopes up if shepard ends up dying in the end of ME3.
Dont forget how one of the DAO endings were... You died.

Now, im all for the house with tali idea, but... You never know...

The squadmates you have with you, have like special anti death barriers around them, if you have regrets about some teammate, just take them with you.

The only way someone with you can die, is if the biotic you choose, is a bad biotic, or if they don't have your loyalty.

Yikes, imagine Tali getting eaten by seeker swarms.

If Tali dies in the final mission and you romanced her, do they show the effects of that loss on Shepard? Does he get all emotional and what not?

I always picked Samara. I thought about going with Jack, and it seemed like the game really wanted to get across how badass she is with her biotics. I mean the whole experiement thing, when you first run into her with her destroying 3 heavy mechs in a matter of seconds (why did she never do that when I had her in my party?) and her just creating doors out of walls to help her escape. Yeah, they totally wanted to sell how awesome she is with biotics, but then with the first scene you get with Samara, and again with her facing off against Morinth ... she just impressed the hell out of me. So I chose her simply because I thought her biotic scenes were more badass >_>

As I said, Shep should build Tali a house on the Quarian homeworld! That'd be so sweet.

And something like Shep retires from military life, having defeated the reapers, and adopts a cute little parentless Quarian girl since he and Tali can't have kids.

I used Thane for the vents since apparently it was quite dangerous. I thought no way I'm having Tali do it. Thane is sick anyway, but Tali and Shepard have their entire lives to spend together. Thane was killed, but no one else was. For the record, I had Samara do the barrier, she is a biotic expert after all.

BTW check out the Giant Bombcast. They did a full episode talking about Mass Effect 2 where they interviewed Casey Hudson. According to him, they seem to be very committed to making sure the choices of both games really come through in the third, especially what squaddies survived

Also, late in the podcast, Casey reveals the Garrus and Tali were added as romance options in the first place because of user demand after Mass Effect 1.
