In regards to Tali in ME3, she's vas Normandy now, I suspect she'll still be on the ship unless she... died. She might very well be the link between Shepard and the Quarian people.
i tend to think of tali (if she lives) as being the vocal moderator to the quarian people in regards to action taken for or against the geth, with the aid of shepard and legion of course. but thats just me. we all know that tali and legion have set aside some of their prejudices and hatred (namely tali) towards the other to work towards a common enemy. the real obstacle will be to convice the admiralty board to persue the same course of action.
Precisely, but also coordinating any quarian action against the Reapers!
perhaps, but id tend to think that the quarians as a whole would ask shepard (chain of command and all) of the best course of action, if the quarians are in fact assisting in wiping out the reapers. thats not to say that tali wouldnt be in some kind of advisory role, they are HER people and she'd probably be the middle man to convey shepards decisions to the admiralty.
As Shepard mentions when he is greeted as "Captain" at the Flotilla he was technically only a commander; furthermore he is no longer active Alliance military personnel although he was reinstated as a spectre by the council (or at least the option to accept their symbolic-but-empty-of-actual-support gesture at the Citadel). From a player's perspective I find it all to easy to assume that everyone would naturally want to huddle and work together as the good guys to stop a galaxy wide extinction event, but how realistic is that really? Just look at the internal bickering and politicking that takes places between long term human allies in our contemporary world where they don't even have to deal with literally completely alien cultures?
The Quarians have spent ca. 327 years as galactic gypsies with all the dirty looks and second class treatment that title brings with it; they are beholden to no one and they've received little assistance from any of the major socio-economic military powers known to exist. Why would they suddenly throw themselves at the feet of these very same peoples whom wouldn't lift a finger to help them when the Geth overthrew them? The Quarians are a tightly knit bunch and are used to taking care of themselves and looking to their own interests and so is just about every other galactic faction. It doesn't mean you actively bear other groups ill will but home comes first for many. Persuasion, cajoling, offerings/bribes, threats, etc. will be needed to get people on board especially since many do not believe the threat of the Reapers....I suspect that will change quickly enough but then again societal memories are often short lived, at least amongst humans (ex. just two years after the attack on the Citadel the Alliance military is having trouble meeting its recruitment quota after an initial wave of patriotism wore off).

Or negotiate a peaceful treaty with the geth to get quarians back to their homeworld.

minor spoilers ahead
As I understand it, they are actually perserving the quarian homeworld. Also from what I could understand from Legion, the "real" geth don't even really hate the quarians or anything.

also did anyone here want to punch that Scotish engineer when he was being racist to and sexually harassing Tali?
I thought the engineering staff quibs and comments were some of the most entertaining aboard the Normandy. It seemed clear to me that Kenneth Donelly was horsing around while also showing his appreciation for female assets. It was even more clear to me that Tali did not feel threatened nor was even remotely interested, but rather rolling her eyes at his comments. The two engineers made a great duo, in my opinion.
no cuz my real name is Kenny or Kenneth. so ha...yea...take it

Oh my God... no one ever listens to Devs. If you die in ME2 you cannot import your save to ME3 PERIOD!
What if you revert to the last Manual save before you hit the Omega-4 Relay? Then if you die, can you just load that up and retry... or is it gonna go all "Steel Battalion" on us so if you die, it's New Game all over again?

If BioWare reveals anything of ME3 at this years E3, do you think they will show Tali, as a fist-pump excitement boost.. Or do you think they'll wait, and save that bit for further down the road?
Of course this all depends on what bits of the game are completed for show, if any.

maybe, but to the first part of the post, being introduced as "captain" is in fact the proper introduction for him, regardless of current/prior military rank. being a former squid (navy) myself, the commanding officer of any ship, regardless of rank, is ALWAYS addressed as "captain" or "skipper."
i agree with you on pretty much everything you said. i dont expect everyone to just "jump on board" the bandwagon because shepard said so. i think itd be safe to assume that a lot of me3 will be spent going around to the various factions and trying to win support for the (hinted at) upcoming war with the reapers, ESPECIALLY the council races (asari, turian, salarian). you might have less trouble getting the humans on board, but you never know. they have pretty much (with the exception of cerberus, but even i told them to ****** off) turned a blind eye to shepard as well, but, anderson/udina might be able to assist with the redtape of politics in that regard.

Damn, well, if they would do that, the forums would really go mad. And this Talimance
thread would probably go up to that 25,000 easily. In first week.
