Did Ash and Liara make anybody else angry in ME2?
Yeah, Ash especially. Liara at first until you see that easily skippable dialogue.
Special Ash with me as well. She was a royal ****. Liara i can kinda see why.
But i just didnt feel it anymore when i met her.
But i was not angry with Liara.
I'm just going to state it straight out: Liara and her gap teeth do not measure up to some of the other Asari you encounter during the course of ME2 - Samara is a potent character both in terms of persona and looks, in my opinion. It does her no favours either that her persona has become much more jaded, cool and even downright nasty (i.e. openly threatening a client with Asari commandos though perhaps that was as much bluff and bravado as actual intent), understandable as that may be given the justification she provides Shepard with. Still, Liara never resonated with me on a level she seemed to me with many others (although I suspect for many it was primarily about "blue alien lesbian sex", etc). She was shy and nice enough in ME1 and I did feel a pang of guilt having to let her down romantically when I picked Ashley, but neither she nor Ashley have managed to grab my imagination as firmly as Tali did. That said, I do think there is great potential for further character growth for both Liara and Ashley come ME3.
I get a particular kick out of the fact that BioWare never intended for Tali to be a romance option, so as others have posted elsewhere the romance that has developed between Tali and Shepard fittingly ends up being the most natural and organic in its progression. I would be lying if I claimed that looks do not matter to me because they do, yet the extent to which they matter is up in the air and with Tali I find that while I'm all but dying to find out what she looks like, it has more to do with desiring proper completion to Tali as opposed to just pure lust. Tali's character, being as wonderful as it is, deserves to be completed with a face. Regardless of what it looks like, regardless of whether I find her face attractive or not, I (and my Shepard) will be better for it than without it since it literally puts a face to the name and enchanting person that is Tali.
