I think that was an excellent move for Bioware to put her as the leader in the relationship, cuz it might have taken me a bit longer to catch onto the fact there actually was a romance.

Yeoman Kelly tells you she has a thing for Shepard.

You guys would not believe how many PMs/Friend Requests I have gotten.

All in the name of Tali.

You created a beast of a thread. lol

If this thread helps get any Tali DLC for Mass Effect 2, or makes Tali a larger part of Mass Effect 3 than originally planned, then thank you.

I keep hearing this, and because I don't feel like sifting through the near 200 pages of posts to find more info, why do some people sound like it's already announced that Tali won't be making a big reappearance/is being killed off in ME3?

It is not that we think she will not be there.  We want her there as a LI continued from this game.  It is a proven fact that when the fans speak about her Bio Ware listens.  She was never intended to be a LI in ME until the fans voiced what they wanted.  They made her one in ME2 and gave her the best because we asked for it just like this.  Her popularity has even made her the first female ME figure to be released.  Not Liara and not the cover girl Miranda.

I actually didn't really care for Tali in ME1. She was essentially a walking quarian codex. I mean, I used her in my squad and thought what she had to say about the quarians was really interesting, but I think ME2 did a good job of making me a Tali-fan. They really made her a stronger character, her loyalty mission was especially powerful!

Yes, yes, blasphemous that I wasn't a Talimancer from the start. :P

I thought I addressed this around page 20. Yes, I crossed the line, that I drew.

When I beat ME2, I couldn't get enough of Tali. This thread, created by the gay warden, has helped me vent and help satisfy my needs. And for that gay warden, I thank you for allowing me to have a voice in this forum. At last, I found others like me. Tali forever.

If anything, It isn't helped me, if you view it as a problem anyway. I would've probably forgotton about it by now, or at least in a few days and move on, but I don't. Because of the Gay Warden Image IPB

Well it was her "female intuition". I'm not sure what events you would have had to do in the 1st game and the 2nd leading up to having Tali on the team, but it would seem that Tali had the hots for Shepard all along. Though I'm sure what you did for her helps.

Tali is actually rather subtle about it. Kelly picks up on her body language, but Tali herself doesn't think Shepard ever got the message. She references that often. "I never thought you'd ever be able to see past... this." She talks about how her nervous banter is a defense mechanism and she has to over-talk so people know what she's feeling...

... but she doesn't do that for Shepard. The second she realizes he knows how she's feeling, she shuts up and, er, puts her body language to good use. I think the message was clear after that.

Tali was the only squad-mate I liked in Mass Effect 1. I'm so glad she got the attention she deserved in Mass Effect 2. A mission where you protected her, her recruiting mission, her fantastic loyalty mission and she was a Love Interest.

Mordin's gotta have some way to help if he survived. He redid the genophage for the love of Tali. He can figure out a way to get her immune system up to snuff

I'd much rather forcefully take her homeworld back. It'd be an epic battle.

Perhaps but it would be an unnecessary strain on already limited resources when facing a far greater threat in the form of the Reapers. Since it appears the true Geth are actually quite civilized and peaceful it may not be necessary to fight them. Besides, they openly resist the Reapers and could be a powerful ally in the upcoming struggle. Massive prolonged two front wars do not have a particularly good history for the faction fighting on both fronts.

Was I tempted to encourage war with the Geth? You bet but that was before my encounter with Legion. That experience did much to challenge my existing pre-conceptions about the Geth. Well played BioWare.

What I don't get is the appeal of Tali FROM ME1 that led Bioware to make her romancable in the sequel. Was DEM HIPS really enough for some folk?
