Ah, Kilmor. So you admit you have an odd fetish for Tali, I take it? You've crossed the line?
I'm pretty certain just about everyone in this thread has, but then again I crossed the line a long time ago with my attachment to a character when I was 8. To this day I am one of the biggest Aerith fans from Final Fantasy 7, so I have basically given up on realizing that I love the character, but obviously not in love with the character. I'm screwed up but I really don't care.

I actually didn't really care for Tali in ME1. She was essentially a walking quarian codex. I mean, I used her in my squad and thought what she had to say about the quarians was really interesting, but I think ME2 did a good job of making me a Tali-fan. They really made her a stronger character, her loyalty mission was especially powerful!
Yes, yes, blasphemous that I wasn't a Talimancer from the start.
I was on the same boat, man.
What I don't get is the appeal of Tali FROM ME1 that led Bioware to make her romancable in the sequel. Was DEM HIPS really enough for some folk?
Personally I felt sorry for her. I'm attracted to women who need to feel like somebody cares about them. That's how I met my girl.

True in all acounts. Look at germany in WW2. We all might be facist germans ATM if it wasn't for the fact that Hitler decided to take on the Russians.The_KFD_Case wrote...

I'd much rather forcefully take her homeworld back. It'd be an epic battle.
Perhaps but it would be an unnecessary strain on already limited resources when facing a far greater threat in the form of the Reapers. Since it appears the true Geth are actually quite civilized and peaceful it may not be necessary to fight them. Besides, they openly resist the Reapers and could be a powerful ally in the upcoming struggle. Massive prolonged two front wars do not have a particularly good history for the faction fighting on both fronts.
Was I tempted to encourage war with the Get? You bet but that was before my encounter with Legion. That experience did much to challenge my existing pre-conceptions about the Geth. Well played BioWare.
As for taking on the geth, was in favor, Legion changed my mind, tho i did destroy the station, cuz i didnt want to let Tali down

I like to think it was my charm, ahem i mean shepard's charm of course
I could totally pull those lines off. Trust me.
.....Who am I kidding? lol
I think that was an excellent move for Bioware to put her as the leader in the relationship, cuz it might have taken me a bit longer to catch onto the fact there actually was a romance.
Yeoman Kelly tells you she has a thing for Shepard.
She read her body language. 75% of comunication is body language but most people miss that because they only focus on what they hear. You will never understand woman that way since they almost never say what they mean or what they are really feeling verbally.

The fans let them know in the forums that they wanted her. That is why she is a LI in ME2. They said it themselves that even they didnt understand why. That is just how some things work. You like what you like and sometimes it doesnt make sense to others.

Im so happy Mordin didnt die in MY playthrough.
ME3:
*Opening cinematics*
Mordin is in a medieval dungeon, with shackles on his arms and legs.
He is toiling over various scientific instruments.
SUDDENLY, the doors burst open, light shines down upon Mordin as he cowers in Fear.
Shepard: Well? Is it ready?
Mordin trembles, he grabs a clear box with a syringe in it labelled as "Quarian Immune system cure". His fingernails all crusted with blood, after trying to claw his way out, he hand sit over to Shepard.

Actually, I didn't like her much at all on my first run. Then she grew on me and by my third run was my favorite character.
And it was little things. Everywhere she went she had a bit of wild-eyed wonder. She was sweet and helpful. She was a freakin' geth destroyer when leveled up. She had the cute accent and the shapely hips. She had a bounce in her idle animation, a rich history to gleen from, and, more than any other character, was a vocal commenter on the missions. She's the one that expressed how desolate Ilos was, how crowded the citadel was, how quiet the Normandy was, how cold Noveria was, and it was refreshing.
And then it just snowballed in ME2. She stopped being an "observer" and started being an integral part of Shepard's life. Her Pilgrimage was over, her loyalties to the Quarian people... but she chose to go back with Shepard anyway. And she kept giving up more and more of herself to be with you, all while saying what she "wanted" wasn't as important as helping Shepard.
She was selfless and loving... and discovering she harbored affection for me all the way back from the first game just made the years of keeping it bottled up inside for her irresistable to me.
