Damn it.... Thanks for putting that thought into my head .... there goes another 50 hours of my life.

I'm doing it currently.  It isn't that bad.
The main worlds take a while, but as long as you don't do any collecting quests, speed through most of the dialogue, and head straight for the objectives when driving the Mako, the sidequesting doesn't take too long, and there are several that you can skip that have ZERO effect on ME2.  The whole game is do-able, even doing every sidequest (including BDtS), in proabably 17-20 hours max of relatively dedicated gaming.

You know I was thinking about doing that  but  I don't see how  your being unfaithful to your first LI,  Seriously getting a case of Death is one serious relationship killer. No I think  I like my Shephards story better with him leaving his  old LI  behind. Something more emotional about loving losing that love and over coming the pain and loss to love again.
Image IPBImage IPB

Agreed. It was neither Shepard's nor the love interest's fault what happened four months after ME1. It's a bum deal and it can sting/hurt like hell and leave scars on the soul that stay with you for life if the relationship is meaningful enough, yet sometimes even the most ardent of love may not be enough to see two people journey together through life as lovers. Sad but true.

Thats what I did. Ashley is dead (never liked her anyway), and I paid almost no attention to Liara. But it was weird the first time I played ME2. I was expecting to romance Miranda for lack of better options, the Kelly told me how Tali felt and I was all like "Oh sh*t, they did it". From there it was obvious what I had to do

Image IPBImage IPB

I know i was  "Oh **** did Tali just Hit on me... wait when I did starting thinking she was Cute... hey wait a minute when she did..." And boom  the deal is sealed.

I liked Ashley once you got past her Marine persona she is really insteresting, I like Miranda because she was my equal in almost every way and this just attractive  but Tail just Snuck up on me  and through a wrench in those plans... damn have to be careful around engineers crafty little thing they are.

and   Art/entertainment imitating life  the one you least expects is one the blindsides you and  throws you for a loop. and So  Tali won out.... what can I say and now here i am posting in the  Tali thread..

I was tempted by Miranda and I may still load an old save just to see how that romance plays out. She's a sympathetic love interest (I would say they all need to be in order to be convincing and thankfully the three leading female love interests in ME2 appear to be thus).

Samara....Sweet baby Jesus. I tried to get her, I really did, but she wasn't quite there with me. But not that it wasn't because she doesn't find herself attracted to Shepard. It is due to her strict justicar code and wanting to have meaningful sex (which I am all for, but since no romance option was available in ME2 that's just not an option). ME3 maybe?

Ashley - I like her though she was a bit too quick on the trigger at Horizon. Isn't an out and out xenophobe as many seem to accuse her of, but neither is she their biggest fan. Has a soft side once you get her to feel comfortable being vulnerable with you.

Liara....She was sweet enough but a bit passionless for my tastes in ME1 (still felt bad about turning her down though as I usually do with any love interest). In ME2 I was a bit shocked by some of the unsympathetic behaviour that had started to set in even if understandable.

Which brings us to Tali. She's an exquisite, pristine rose, IMO. Sweet, cute, loving, resourceful, intelligent, quirky and curious, absolutely adorable when nervous, selfless, brave and strong. I hope my next girlfriend has those traits; I'll certainly be on the lookout for them. Her personality just fits me like a well tailored glove and there really is nothing more that needs to be said on that account. I'm in love with Tali's character and I'm quite aware that she's fictitious but that doesn't stop feelings because she is a believable character (heck, they all are which is one of BioWare's great strengths). It's been stated before: When you love something or someone you love them. There doesn't have to be a specific rhyme or reason to it (though I have just explained what I find attractive about her) that others understand or agree with. It's a personal matter. I like her. Someone else may not. That's okay. It doesn't change how I feel about her and my feelings towards her needn't change how someone else views her.

to Bioware's decision now. Personally i trust them, and wouldn't be much surprised if they made ME3 in a way that if one got most of his/her squad killed, then (s)he gets pretty much left alone for the third game, probably with a few generic companions.
What i mean here is that they'd make a full fleshed-out story with every possible squadmember but they would be locked out if they died in said person's game and some generic 'soldiers' would take their place. It'd be a bit risky decision to do this, but certainly would show the story-wise significance of life and death.

I think what the people are trying to address, is that a full fleshed out story for every member in ME3, could be massive with the amount of choices to make, and you might not even get to experience it all. However, I don't really think It would be a problem, and the fact that most people with some intelligence kept all, if not, most of their squad, or are going to in the next few playthroughs. I mean we do have at least a year and half. I honestly couldn't see someone losing everyone, including shepard, on accident, I mean you really have to try for that.

bs

why are are you here there is nothing but love in this thread as far I know your the only hater here

"All Tali fans, read this (...)) the topic speaks for itself.

I'm the only hater here huh?
Nice to be notice but are you stupid or what?
First off I don't hate her.
As I've stated she's just a good friend and you all are weird about her being a love interest. Get over it you got what you wanted but posting over 202 pages over something like this is kind of pathetic.

Come now. Is it really necessary to make it personal? He likes her. You don't like her as much. No problem. I don't mind having a less reverent opinion of Tali in here - it can be refreshing, but I'd also appreciate it if we continue to maintain the mostly civil tone that's been in here. I don't want to see this thread shut down because a lone individual couldn't keep it together. If that individual should turn out to be you because you don't like Tali to the same extent then say your piece and kindly allow those of us who feel and think differently to carry on uninterrupted. If you are willing to remain civil then by all means stick around. And no, being civil doesn't require you to adopt my personal view of Tali.^_^

You Tali boys and girls are like ps3 fanboys crazy and just not right.
But hey, I'll let you all enjoy attacking what I have to say since you can't get past your love for a virtual character.

Feeling a bit self-righteous are we? You were right quick to start tossing around aggressive personal attacks (your post above is a prime example) and now you want to play the martyr card. Your words do you no credit on this occasion apparently.

If you find the attraction and support many have expressed for Tali so upsetting how about we discuss it like rational beings? I've already explained what attracts me to Tali. What in particular is it that riles you up about this thread and its frequent visitors?

This thread is still going strong.

How do you upload pictures?

Are you asking about the upload itself or displaying the image here in the thread?

Upload is a no-brainer, use a site like tinypic.com, browse in the image you want and hit upload. You'll get a link to the uploaded picture once it's done.

As for posting it here, you make it like this:
[img]link_to_your_uploaded_picture[/.img] (without the period)

I'd recommend to only posting the link to the pic, though, some of us may on bad connections or with traffic cap and it's a nice thing to let them choose whether they'd like to download the picture or not. You can post link like this:
 link_to_your_uploaded_picture[/.url] (again, no period)

Hope it helps, mate & good luck!

Yep I have a save where Shepard didnt romance anyone so that is the one I will use to finally be with Tali.  I couldn't go through with it on my first playthough of ME2 because I had already started with Miranda and Tali let me know in a very innocent way that she was not going to share me.  It made me feel rotten to the core so I let her know I wanted her but we couldn't.  Now I am a free man and can be with Tali with out worries.

I agree. I did'nt make her exiled beacuse i thought "Hey maybe tali loves Shepard to much to just abandon him".
Probably she will have the quarians to help Shepard.

I thought the same. It is always good thing to have army of quarians at your side :) Just like in case of geth. Who knows...I think they will join Shepard in war against Reapers.
Plus, Tali can't be abandoned!

In light of the current conversation. I think it will depend on how you handled Tali's trial.

If you get her exiled, then of course she'll never go back to the fleet, but then would she ever be interseted in purusing a relationship since you basically got her screwed.

But if you're like any other Tali supporter and you saved her, then there may definately be a reason for her to return to the fleet.

Actually, presenting the evidence instead of lying, is much worse than lying, and saying you found no evidence, she feels betrayed if you did. Also, they mention if you do something of great signifigance for the fleet, that you can get reinstated in. Assuming that that has something to do with a Geth Quarian confrontation.

But if you're like any other Tali supporter and you saved her, then there may definately be a reason for her to return to the fleet.

Stopping her from getting exiled isn't nessesarly a "save". Depends on how you do it. Of course the best option for Tali would be the Paragon, or the rally option. But clearing her case, with the evidence of her father, is  by far the worst option.

She's just awesome, I always wanted a romance with her in ME1.. I was bummed when you couldn't.. I went down talking to her once in a while regardless, even if it didn't "give" anything really.. She said the same stuff mostly.. I'm damn happy she were LI in ME2, and if she's not in ME3, I'm gonna stay "single". :P It's Tali or noone. :P
