Not set in stone but it would be a great nod to the fans that enjoy both characters.

Thats what I did. Ashley is dead (never liked her anyway), and I paid almost no attention to Liara. But it was weird the first time I played ME2. I was expecting to romance Miranda for lack of better options, the Kelly told me how Tali felt and I was all like "Oh sh*t, they did it". From there it was obvious what I had to do
The same thing happened to me, the ME2, thing. My outlook changed completley, and I'm glad I didn't romance that **** Miranda
Miranda's heart is in the right place (if you follow the Paragon path). She's just been alone and looking over her shoulder for so long without having much faith in herself as a person (as opposed to her genetic make-up), that she needs to be reminded that it's okay to let the warmth she has inside out in to the open. It's like Shepard says to Thane at one point, "We all lose when you keep yourself apart". Wise words.

Nothing, really. Just people talking about what they've been talking about the past 200 pages.

Well sure, I just hate how she referrs to herself when you talk to her, she mentions herself as some kind of genetically perfect goddess, which, just annoys me. Merely an opinion none the less.

I agree with this. Her arrogance really turned me off from her. And I don't know if it's just me, but everything about her seems fake, not just physically, but emotionally as well.

Man you guys are weird.
I can dig Miranda, Samara, Liara and Ashley along with Kelly.... but Tali?
Come on....
Tali is a good friend nothing more.
But this has gone to far where you can give her a headache and a running nose.
Eh....![]()
Miranda I was actually insterest... Till her senseless stupid pointless fight with Jack and then I was turned off to the both of them
Samara... Oh dear god if i could I would but a nearly 1000 year old woman knows what she wants and well it aint my Shephard no matter how strong his pimp hand is.
Liara... *Yawn*
Ashley well sadly Shepard caught a case of the Death and that can kill a relationship...
and Art/entertainment imitating life the one you least expects is one the blindsides you and throws you for a loop. and So Tali won out.... what can I say and now here i am posting in the Tali thread..
I was tempted by Miranda and I may still load an old save just to see how that romance plays out. She's a sympathetic love interests (I would say they all need to be in order to be convincing and thankfully the three leading female love interests in ME2 appear to be thus).
Samara....Sweet baby Jesus. I tried to get her, I really did, but she wasn't quite there with me. But not that it wasn't because she doesn't find herself attracted to Shepard. It is due to her strict justicar code and wanting to have meaningful sex (which I am all for, but since no romance option was available in ME2 that's just not an option). ME3 maybe?
Ashley - I like her though she was a bit too quick on the trigger at Horizon. Isn't an out and out xenophobe as many seem to accuse her of, but neither is she their biggest fan. Has a soft side once you get her to feel comfortable being vulnerable with you.
Liara....She was sweet enough but a bit passionless for my tastes in ME1 (still felt bad about turning her down though as I usually do with any love interest). In ME2 I was a bit shocked by some of the unsympathetic behaviour that had started to set in even if understandable.
Which brings us to Tali. She's an exquisite, pristine rose, IMO. Sweet, cute, loving, resourceful, intelligent, quirky and curious, absolutely adorable when nervous, selfless, brave and strong. I hope my next girlfriend has those traits; I'll certainly be on the lookout for them. Her personality just fits me like a well tailored glove and there really is nothing more that needs to be said on that account. I'm in love with Tali's character and I'm quite aware that she's fictitious but that doesn't stop feelings because she is a believable character (heck, they all are which is one of BioWare's great strengths). It's been stated before: When you love something or someone you love them. There doesn't have to be a specific rhyme or reason to it (though I have just explained what I find attractive about her) that others understand or agree with. It's a personal matter. I like her. Someone else may not. That's okay. It doesn't change how I feel about her and my feelings towards her needn't change how someone else views her.

On the point about Samara... dear god I tired but yeah the code and plus I think her age had alot to play into too... I thnk she amused that this guy not even One third her age was htting on her. She was curious through... I felt same way about Liara she is a b it too for my taste cold... I think Samara blew me away some much because was had Liara control but you could see that she was lot more passionate about things. Miranda I did feel bad for given her history but she and my shephard way to much alike, it woud be a i love you/i hate you hot make up sex on the engineroom relationship, Jack i just could not bring myself to, it felt like I was taken advantage of the emotional broken person, she needs a friend and more so first...
Then Tali just comes by ninjas my shepards heart away like that, just being Trusting, patent resourceful, she did throw herself at you like everyone else, she kinda let you figure it out by droping hints was strong enough to be like yeah I like you bone head. I think what really hooked me was she just up front with her feelings there was no having to break down barriers or jump through hoops.

But to keep it going.
One thing I think they can make an improvement on is how Tali (or any LI you choose), affects the reactions from your squad mates. Instead of feeling like a bit of a diversion from the main plot, to incorporate the romance into the story line.
Why? If Shepard Tali's romance (again, or any other LI) was fleshed out into the main plot a bit - you'd have a feeling that you're not only thing to save the galaxy, but also because of your love for your LI. I just think it'd make the story that much stronger.

I would personally would have loved an option to totally lose it if Tali died in the suicide mission! That would be so emotional!
I sort of agree, or really any LI. I mean they die as if he didn't care at all about them, which doesn't make a lot of sense. She got shot in the face? Oh well. Talk about a 5 second rebound.

On the one hand I could see it, on the other, Shepard is a military man/woman and dedicated to getting the job done they would mourn but that wasn't the time to do it.SgTKilmor wrote...

I agree there needs to be more impact of the relationships on the group like in Dragon Age where the other party members comment on the relationships you have. Or even when you converse with your squad mates they should comment that they see something happening, they did a little of this in ME1. I think the romances will have a larger impact overall in ME3 than in ME2 and ME1; so it may happen. It definitely seems like they want to conclude all the major threads in that game.
I think that would be a good idea. I would like to see what Joker thought of me and Tali together.

Of course, but emotions are powerful. Even after, there wasn't really any mourning, at all. Or dialouge, but, that's what a lot of people complain about.

that would have been perfect :3 but i don't wanna lose Tali... so i hope they don't do that for the 3rd game.
well i hope they make it optional at least. like make it a "bad ending" or something then having the "good ending" where you and her have a life together on haestrom
oh one more thing. i just woke up. and i fell asleep around 180 pages. can anyone tell me what happened in the past 30 pages?

Wish I knew too, but I really don't think I have it in me to read the last 10 pages that I've missed.
