Miranda's heart is in the right place (if you follow the Paragon path). She's just been alone and looking over her shoulder for so long without having much faith in herself as a person (as opposed to her genetic make-up), that she needs to be reminded that it's okay to let the warmth she has inside out in to the open. It's like Shepard says to Thane at one point, "We all lose when you keep yourself apart". Wise words.

Well sure, I just hate how she referrs to herself when you talk to her, she mentions herself as some kind of genetically perfect goddess, which, just annoys me. Merely an opinion none the less. Posted Image

Fair enough; my impression was that she isn't particularly proud of her achievements because she believes it all comes from pre-determined genetic tinkering rather than her own hard labour and natural talent (she says as much to Shepard in one dialogue option). Hmm. Come to think of it Miranda seems like someone who feels enslaved to forces beyond her control and choosing (i.e. her controlling father and the enhanced genetic copy of his own DNA he had her created from). I'm guessing that leaves Miranda in a less than enviable place where she questions who she really is and whether that person even exists in light of what she is.

I'd say that's right.  She talks about being perfect but it's easy to notice her sadness when she talks about it.  Anyways, not much more to add on to what you said KFD.  She's not a bad person at all though I dont think.

I agree there needs to be more impact of the relationships on the group like in Dragon Age where the other party members comment on the relationships you have. Or even when you converse with your squad mates they should comment that they see something happening, they did a little of this in ME1. I think the romances will have a larger impact overall in ME3 than in ME2 and ME1; so it may happen. It definitely seems like they want to conclude all the major threads in that game.

I think that would be a good idea. I would like to see what Joker thought of me and Tali together.

Speaking of Joker, he grew quite a bit on me this time around and I feel that Seth Green did a better job second time around. Joker already says that he always like Tali...I expect he would make one of his trademark sarcastic smartass comments and then quickly follow it up with a brief but heartfelt congratulations.

i just got a big juicy reason why Tali might be a big part of Mass Effect 3

1) why would bioware not show her face in Mass Effect 2? because they plan on showing it in ME3
2) If they're gonna show her Face in Mass Effect 3, why would there be any reason she's gonna be a Small Part of it. it's not like she's gonna go to Flotilla and you can go and say "i wanna see your Face again" then she'll be like "lol okay shepard *takes mask off*"
3) why would she go back after a short period of time? i mean she was made a candidate, but she's probably going to stay considering helping commander shepard with the reapers is a bigger problem that the Geth and the Homeworld. hell if she leaves, thats just turning her back on Saving the Galaxy. and Sure she'll save the Homeworld, but without her. to what end would that due, if it's just gonna get destroyed by the reapers anyways?
4)She's gonna return as a Major part because she's one of the most loved and interesting Characters, There is No way Bioware would turn her back on her now. They're Barely Starting to Develop her Character even Further.
5)This is The Final Mass Effect Game, Taking her out now would be Preposterous.
6)Casey Mentioned they knew what Tali Looked Like.... They're Going to probably Reveal what she looks like in a Climatic way.... i say before the final battle. or after the final battle with the Reapers. or during a cutscene where Shepard and Tali Enjoy the Rest of Their Lives Together. as the Story ends with the Romance Sub-Plot Filling the Rest of the Story in. kinda like in Dragon age. where they tell you how the story ends, and the other side stories end based on your decisions in the game.

While I'm fairly confident that both Garrus and Tali will make a comback as squad mates, you can't really expect them to have a big role in the plot as they did potentially die. Doesn't mean they won't have their own cool side missions or anything.

tali is Vas normand I believe they did that to insure that she's a sqauddie in ME3

While I do agree that Steam prices are not always the best, the whole infinite activations and easy download and install all through one program are very appealing

EADM has almost the similar features, although it's not as fleshed out as Steam.
There's free download for only 1 year but as far as i'm concerned, there's been no problems with installations and what not. I just keep my installer files on a separate HDD in case i need to reinstall the system and that's all.
Also there are some sweet coupon for discounts in EAStore, if one knows where to look for them.

But back on topic.. :)

Decent points, she needs to live for any of that to matter though.

My guess is she will be a large role if she survived and also a romance option.  I still think if she lives she will be a squad mate but they do like giving us new people to know... but it just seems odd to sideline a major character like that at the climax.

I would complain, I think I see enough of them in the movies.

you would complain about her being modeled after somebody but you wouldn't complain about her being ugly

I didn't say I wouldn't complain if they made her ugly, but I highly doubt that bioware would do that to begin with. And her personality makes up for it anyways. Don't judge a book by it's cover.

It just wouldn't be a Mass effect game without a quarian and turian squad mate. And the BioWare community would collapse into itself if they replaced either one. Especially Tali. I can't for the life of me see them not including them.

That would take the whole risk of the suicide mission and completley annihilate it.

I am vastly amused that only a few days after the release of the game, Tali and Garrus fans have managed the most massive thread on this forum. Good for us! :)

Hm, I don't know if you have a save near there, but a good shot of her when she's leaning over the railing during Zaeed's mission would be great. The one segment where is shows just her and the waterfall.
Don't feel obligated though :)

I think i've deleted all but the very last saves from my first playthrough :pinched:.

I'm playing through ME1 again these days, in order to provide her a lvl60 'clean' Shepard with no romantic involvement. When i get to that part again, i'll surely take some screenshots in case you'll still need them.

well i hope they make it optional at least. like make it a "bad ending" or something then having the "good ending" where you and her have a life together on haestrom

oh one more thing. i just woke up. and i fell asleep around 180 pages. can anyone tell me what happened in the past 30 pages?

I would be thrilled with such a happily-ever-after ending being one possibly choice! Speaking of endings, I'm already moody now that I've completed ME2 yet I feel...renewed. The things that Paragon Shepard represents symbolically inspires me as does the stories in ME. I fear a massive case of the blues will come crashing down on me like a house of bricks once ME3 ends. I know, I know! There is little sense in focusing on distressing thoughts and feelings so far out from their potential arrival date when there is nothing I can effectively do to change the outcome anyway. Besides, in order to face that brand of fire it will first require the exquisite goodness that ME3 is bound to encompass.

P.S. Erh. I just realised which planet Haestrom is. You sure you want to settle on a planet that will fry you in minutes if you stand in open sunlight with kinetic barrier shields activated? Also, the sun may be expanding in to a red dwarf....You can kiss the neighbourhood goodbye. Literally.:pinched:

Yes, I agree completely with the bolded part.  Her personality would make virtually any countenance Bioware might give her a favorable one to me.  There was a cartoony image speculation here last evening.  I think that is not a bad look for her.  I kinda liked it.

That would break the idea of it being your story, the deaths will matter and those that died will not continue into ME2 in whatever role they would have had.

I can see them saying "You can only import savegames where certain squadmembers survived: Tali / Garrus ( and Mordin ^^ ).

It would generate some backlash, that's for sure, but I think the backlash for not including those characters would be much, much greater and BW knows that.

Not that there isn't a way to continue the plot if said characters did die. They can still play a big role, the player who let them die, just wouldn't experience that.

*Some* people ( mostly people who are miffed that their favourites are not as beloved, it seems ), but I'd say the vast majority like those three. Certainly haven't seen any backlash against Mordin. :P

If you tell me what you have in mind in can take some screenshots for you (1920*1080).

My ME2 is PC version but bought the DDE from EAStore, not Steam. (Steam sometimes sets some ridiculous prices over here - 60 Euros for the ME2 DDE? Hell i got it for 39 from EA... [1 EUR = 1,37 USD])

Bioware is a good tease. they love to mess with us alot. i'm sure they'd mess with us for good terms once...

i'm sure this would be one of those "good terms" times.

i mean shepard dying is not canon. Shepard is supposed to be smart. and Charasmatic.

i'm sure the REAL shepard wouldn't fly into the final battle unprepared and unknowing of who is good for what job.

thats the Canon Shepard.

and if you see the achievement. "No one left behind" thats exactly what Shepard said.

now if you think about it. Starting a new game with a new shepard is impossible. because they'll make you start a new game.

but if it was the CANON aka REAL Shepard. then no one would have died. the Normandy would have been in tiptop shape.

those who didn't have a squaddy survive. they didn't have a Canon ending. thats an ending for those who SCREWED UP. the CANON ending is everyone survived. get it?

because the REAL Shepard. is Charasmatic. he knows his team better than ANYONE and He Prepares AHEAD of time.

If Bioware gave us that 'happily ever after' ending for Tali and Shepard I think I might only play Bioware games from here on out.  As it is, I look at the company and if it is Bioware, I almost automatically buy it.  That's how much Bioware has impressed me over the years.

I am supporting a 'happily ever after' for Tali:wub:
