Yeah how in-love I am with Tali and how much I fantasize about her is MY business!

Besides there are people with a lot more unhealthy obsessions, like my best friend's obsession with Kerrigan from SC...

<Tir / Daniel> - <memories of a glass sanctuary> says:

id let her infest me

if you know what i mean

Nope, could never do that to sweet sweet Tali.

Im very glad that im not the only one who was deeply emotionaly touched by Tali and some other chars:wub:, its a great + to bioware and i would even say its some kind of breaktrough, it makes computer games closer and closer to real art. Great job bioware, AND DONT FORGET TO GIVE US TALI AND GARRUS BACK IN ME3:D

I haven't read most of this thread, as it seems that doing so would boil my eyes to a frothing gel. But it looks like everyone is convinced that Tali will show up in Mass Effect 3. Why? It appears to me that despite whatever the results of her trial are, she will be needed by the Migrant Fleet again for some reason.
So does anyone have any solid justification that she will return, not just in appearance, but as a squad member?

I think their survival will have some impact, although Tali depends on how you resolved her situation.  If she is exiled, I don't think she will have much of a role in quarian society... is it even possible to be un-exiled?  But if she is still a member in good standing something tells me she may end up becoming or definitely a contender for the Admiralty Board.  She is probably the singular most famous quarian in existence and her loyalty and dedication to the flotilla is unquestioned.

Not really, other than the fact that she was exiled, in some. I'm sure you'll be involved in that reason, as well.

BTW, I just beat the game for the first time. I even had the same scene in the trailer with Tali sliding down the platform and me grabbing her hand. Awesome. What an emotional moment.

I've also talked to Legion and hope that in ME3 I can get Legion and Tali to work together. The Geth seem very neutral in all aspects, as opposed to the single minded fanatical heretics we've fought throughout the ME saga.

Also, inviting tali up to your room is Pure, Unadulterated Win. I`ll probably just leave one of those two scenes on in the background or soemthign while I am doing soemthing else.

BTW, everyone lived in the mission. Here is how I did it:

1. Mordin and Tali ALWAYS with me.
2. Legion for the Vents.
3. Garrus Leads Both fire teams.
4. Jacob Escorts the Crew back.
5. Jack as Biotic Barrier person. I fugred her using her huge amount of power for defense instead of offense would be a nice culmination to her charachter.

Collector AR absolutely SHREDS through collectors. use it if you have it.

My first setup where everyone made it back alive:

1. Legion in the vent.
2. Garrus leads the squad (Miranda a likely substitute).
3. Tali and Samara with me.
4. After rescuing the Normandy crew I send Jacob with them. Samara serves as my squad's biotic shield caster while Tali and Grunt provide the thunder. Miranda leads the 2nd squad (Garrus can be used as well).

I used the Revenant LMG with maxed out incinerator rounds thus granting all squad members the same ammunition against the organic based Collectors.

Final boss? Two blasts to the face with the M-920 Cain and it's all over (on "Normal" difficulty). Easy as pie.

I don't think their survival will have as big of an impact as some of the decisions you made during their loyalty quests... You know for the people that don't carry them around in their parties everywhere.

I just find some people's fascination with Tali slightly unhealthy, I like her but yeah I don't like her as much as some people in this thread. I do wish to keep her around though she fits my Shepard like a glove.

I understand where you are coming from, and if I were a few years younger(I`m 25) I'd probably be more "rabid" than I am now, but Tali is a charachter that really speaks to people about what they want in a romantic partner, not as just a mere sexual partner, but as a close friend one wouldd like to always have by one's side and share one's life with. Girls like her are rare in fiction and extremely rare if nonexistant IRL. I was just lucky enough to find a girl like that IRL, and I`m truly thankful for her every day(Gonna be 3 years anniversary in March! YAHOO!).

Congrats I have my own real life Tali as well I suppose.

I remember reading somewhere that tali would say she'd just have to 'prove her loyality to the migrant fleet' if exiled.

The thread is about showing the devs taht we do want her back in ME3. All the support even before ME1 was released and between ME1 and ME2 got us Tali as a LI and an expanded role in ME2.  This thread serves as a general Tali discussion and shows to the devs taht we still want her in the game in ME3.

There is no info about ME3 yet, none. Sicne theya re just starting to program it right now, we want to tell them this, and hopefully, like before, it will influence their desicsion.

Yes, you can get un-exiled by doing something of great... I don't know the word, importance? For the fleet. Basically helping it in a large noticable way, I suppose.

Usually through death... posthumously.
