I did that interrupt without thinking.

Alyx later wondered if she was going soft. Then she remembered her eyes and Lazarus scars still glow red, and she can afford to be nice sometimes.

Yeah, it's totally not realistic.  If I was developing the DLC I couldn't see myself just catering to a niche by expanding one character's plot through a mission.  Especially since there is no guaranteeing that she survived in everyone's game.  And I wouldn't really want to progress the romantic plot with her that much in any DLC.  The romance is the payoff at the climax of an full installment.  More post suicide mission Normandy dialogue with her would be great though.  More post suicide mission Normandy dialogue in general would be fantastic.

by that logic there's no point developing any DLC as its not guarunteeing that commander shepard survived.

Get angry if they re-do that again, 1 ressurection is enough. Bioware dig their own grave if they do that... again.
Then again the thing with "If Shepard dies in the suicide mission then that Shepards life is over" or something like that in some interview or something.

True--DLC would be tricky. But, you could always add DLC that takes place BEFORE the suicide mission? A romance DLC, to engage or make romance more in depth before the suicide mission itself?

Well hopefully they will. Doing something like that once, it okay, but twice, shame on you. I would expect better of their writers.

Basically, that Shepard died, and that particular save can't be used in ME3. Nobody says you can't reload an earlier save and survive.

Basically, that Shepard died, and that particular save can't be used in ME3. Nobody says you can't reload an earlier save and survive.

I know, but they make it seem like a big deal. Maybe it's just me though.

I would do the same. I completed my third playthrough today as a sentinel with tali all the way through since she joined me.

I made sure to back up my save this time. Though, if I had to, I probably would. It's a long time from here to ME3, I'll probably play a few more times.

Well, I intend to romance Tali with Adrian, my other Shepard set to live.



I do wonder if I can avoid getting her at all. With two Shepards on the chopping block, I'm not sure if I want to watch Tali die.

You should be able to continue your romance if you already started it, or start up a new one with her in ME3. That seems feasible for all the LI's in ME2, right? Tali especially of course. But that seems the right course to follow for every LI.

The same should be said for any ME1 LI's that they decide to bring back, either continue where you left off, or start up a new LI with that character. I myself won't be deviating from Tali.....ever.
