Agreed. It's queited down considerably compared to roughly 36 hours ago which I personally think is a good thing. There was a point at which I felt decidely uncomfortable with the directin some comments were taking, yet I support freedom of speech and they weren't actually attacking anyone so I decided not to engage, but instead steered around it.

Well, there IS a line which the more reasonable (though no less 'intense') wouldn't cross. That was exactly the reason why i left the 'LOVE' threads on the old forums and considered leaving this one. Then, it just settled down and less disturbing post started to flow again.

Ugh! The cruel joke of being shown what might be and how much it resonates with you only to be abruptly reminded that back in reality things are far different (well, for me at least. I don't about you). No "Tali" here at present. I'm okay with being on my own though - feeling mostly recovered from an old break-up now but some scars/wounds stay with you for life. They don't go away as much as you simply learn to live with them until they become numb.

I found my RL Tali and married her. She's an engineer, but unlike the ME Tali she has the worst aim ever and she's not as adventurous.

Of course, before meeting her I had to collect my fair share of scars/wounds too, but most importantly, I had to stop looking. Yeah, it sucks, but most of the time we just stumble on the best things in life.

Perhaps you need to look for Garrus in order to find Tali?

Indeed, i was around before when they were talking about Bisexual Tali and having a threesome with Legion or something... Love is something to be cherished not exploited and you can;t choose someones sexual preference...

Guys, just one request (i know, i make a bit too much of these 'one requests', lol):
Try to avoid multiple nested quotes as well as quoting posts with pictures over and over again. It messes up the forum and makes it hard to read for whoever might consider to catch up with the thread later.

i know what you mean, i like Tali because she reminds me of a girl i liek in real life too (although i'm too young for marriage )

Well, i see nothing wrong with a few fanfics while they are tasteful.
As for me, i wouldn't include her in any fanfic dealing with sexual content at all, it just doesn't feel right to the character. There are people who...well, may want to make her let their dreams come true, so to speak, but the fanfic should be posted as links (to personal blog posts, for example) and not forum posts where some of us may find them inappropriate. Then again, i might be alone with this opinion so i just try to give advice and see if anyone likes it.

Back on topic: It is doubtful any of the ME1 love interests will be thrilled at hearing they are no longer at the top of Shepard's list. I mean really, when has anyone been completely okay with a significant other - current or otherwise - getting involved with someone else if there are still unresolved emotions in play? I don't envy Ash the let down (nor Liara or Kaiden for that matter for those who opted for them in ME1) and I fully expect her to fire a sizzler of a retort or two my way before possibly just becoming quite curt and visibly sad (that's what happened in ME1 if I recall correctly; became quite business-like about it which would be considered "professional" and necessary in tight quarters on a ship).

My Shepard did not cheat on Ash. There may have been expectations in the air from both sides and while the specific words "We are no longer together" weren't actually voiced, Ash did say that neither of us are the same people any longer and that too much time has passed, too many things have changed for her for us to just be able to go back to how things were (which is fair enough, IMO, considering she thought Shepard was dead). Feelings linger like yesteryear's slowly decomposing fallen tree yet the trunk and dead roots still linger as a testament to what once was.

I wouldn't want to change my expected romance confrontation in ME3. Therefore I'm in no hurry to start a brand new character in ME1 without romance.

Not a biggie, we can always watch it on youtube. What would be funny if you could modify the camera angle when he takes off her mask. It'd be funny if there's another mask under that, lol.

Err... I was referring to the events in ME, but yeah, sure, I guess going gay would maximize the odds.

You can edit some of the ini files to create godmode, infinite heat clips, etc, by using Notepad ++.

I haven't done it because I'm too darn stupid to figure out how to install Notepad ++.
