Am I the only one who is getting tired of all the 'whats under the faceplate' posts? I'm not 'in love' (I still think love to just a little too strong a word) with her face. I don't think it really matters.

(That said, +1 to no space elves.)

Am I the only one who agrees with every single one of The_KFD case's posts?

I think we have to come to terms with the fact that if she has hair at all, it will be a very short cut. Thinnk about the fact that it has to fit in the helmet and how it would get if it were long.

Actually i would think that they have long hair. If they have hair.
There is a lot of space for hair behind Tali's mask where that cloth looking thing is.
And i think i personally would like her more with long lush hair. More attractive.
For me at least.

Maybe, though it may be worth noting that the shawl/cowl needn't actually be part of the space suit/helmet but rather might serve as a decorative feature. The front glass shield and sides of the helmet leads me to suspect that it curves around the back of Tali's head just a Shepard's helmets do. This would be logical as it guarantees a tight air seal.

I love when she jumps on you and you hear the slight *smooch* sound just before the camera fades to black.

Ohh yeah I love that moment too.

The_KFD_Case wrote...

Don't let it get to you. No one in
this thread, not even Gay Warden who is the OP, has any legitimate
authority to kick you nor anyone else out of the thread. That would be
up to BioWare staff members and their moderators. I have seen no sign
of them on this thread this past week, if at any point since this
thread was incepted.

I think some people have become quite fond
of using certain lines such as the "let me escort you out, sir", etc.
because one person used it and they thought it was cool and are now
using it as well. Good intentions perhaps but somewhat overzealous in
its application. Again, they have no legitimate authority nor does
anyone else in this thread so we are all welcome to stay here. If
someone has a real problem with you or anyone else just ask them to
take it up with a true mod or BioWare staff member and you can discuss
it internally. This is just chest beating and testosterone fueled
bravado, in my opinion.

We use it against trollers, and I'm the "someone" who made it up.
In this case I used it as a joke, and later apologized.

RVonE wrote...

The point is not that Liara's case is
different. The point, like Marshalleck just wrote, is that at this time
it is impossible for any of us to claim what the status of Tali will be
in ME3. I propose a certain outcome that is not preferable to most
Talimancers but nevertheless should not be discounted as a possibility.
We're a long way from seeing ME3 and it is unlikely that much has been
set in stone, so a lot can happen--good and bad.

As for your
inside joke (an inside joke in a thread that is not even a week old,
really?), I understand what you meant by escorting me out. I'm just
flabbergasted by the fact that you are so eager to conclude that I'm a
troll without considering what is said; it makes Talimancers come
across as a bunch of zealots.

I understand but from my
point of view I see her being in ME3 with a major role as a bigger
chance than her NOT being in ME3 with a major role.

I would love it if ME3 had Tali NOT reveal her face to the camera. I mean, the Quarian girl on Illium agrees.

I know. We can build a ship that goes FTL but we can't get an automatic fish feeder going . . .

why has bioware not posted something her yet to resolve some rumors about tali? this is like the longest thread and still no bioware help????

They just launched ME2 about two weeks ago in North America and a week and a half ago in Europe. It's way too early to realistically expect them to come out with public announcements about ME3. I'd be thrilled if they did (providing it's pleasant news) but it's unlikely to occur based on historic precedent.

So, I got my tablet in today, and it's the first time I've used one. I've been spending a bit of time with it, and by no means am I a good artist.. but I did manage to come up with something I was satasfied with :)
There's been a lot of great art in this thread, so if anyone can comment and give me ideas on areas I need to improve, please do.. I'm pretty much just teaching myself, trying out ideas ^^

And this version is colored, and I made a few small changes. I don't really know which one I prefer yet.

Any comments would be really appreciated!

That's my suspicion as well, though (hopefully) far more humanoid looking after the course of evolution. Interestingly it does appear that quarians have a mammary system in place (i.e. examine their females) which would be decidely unbird-like by Earth standards, Then again, they do hail from a different planet so evolution may have taken an entirely different path.

I've heard that the 'crunch' time in game development is extremely brutal. To the point of destroying
relationships and the health of those involved. I honestly think that the Bioware team deserve a vacation at this point for doing what they did. I can wait.

it's good...
i prefer the coloured one though... both are certainly better than any un-nameable horrible drawings i could make... trust me if i drew something that was supposed to be Tali then she actually WOULD look like a chicken...

I'm not sure about that. However, I don't like the couch scene. I mean it looks like Tali is having a riviting conversation with Shepard but my Shepard just sits there and stares at her blankly. It's kinda saddening.

Tali being part avian has been discussed may times, but I am pretty sure in the books it says that quarians resemble humans, whether this means that they are bird-like humanoids I have no clue

I think we should be careful what we wish for. If the LI in fact does play a more pivotal roll in ME3, then we can expect a lot of difficult decisions and/or conflict ahead involving them. Apart from the powers that be (Reapers, TIM, ect.) using the LI to get to or manipulate Shepard, I still think Bioware will go so far to have a tragic death for the LI. Normally this would not be a problem. Normally I'm not overly emotionally attached to said LI. I didn't even have one in ME1 because I never 'felt' the connection. But with Tali . . . I think I actually care.

Bioware is extremely good at what they do.
