im not saying bits about the new game its just.....i want to see what she looks like.hmmmm maby a expansion pack like everyone has been saying were you can like go do something for her like save another quarian spaceship and make her fall more deeply in love, i just hate having to start from the very begining of a relationship its like nothing is long term in this game when it comes to relationships...../sigh

I share your frustation, yet ironically it is precisely because BioWare wanted the love interests from ME1 to be long term that they weren't active to the same extent in ME2 because they wanted to ensure they would be alive for ME3 (you can kill every team member you acquire, including Shepard, in ME2 which will impact what happens in ME3).

why

Out of spite. Or to make ME3 more emotionally engaging.

I think we should be careful what we wish for. If the LI in fact does play a mach more pivotal roll in ME3, then we can expect a lot of difficult decisions and/or conflict ahead involving them. Apart from the powers that be (Reapers, TIM, ect.) using the LI to get to or manipulate Shepard, I still think Bioware will go so far to have a tragic death for the LI. Normally this would not be a problem. Normally I'm not overly emotionally attached to said LI. I didn't even have one in ME1 because I never 'felt' the connection. But with Tali . . . I think I actually care.

Bioware is extremely good at what they do.

It wouldn't be as emotional, or engaging if the choices werent difficult, and if there were no conflicts :)
For it to continue well, there needs to be many challenges in the LI. I think getting over those challenges and still being in love, and having kept each other safe is the real reward :)

I would be so pissed, sure in theory it would make a good story, but most likely people would rage like no other, and bioware would have created WWIII, rofl probably not that dramatic, but still.

Like they said on the Sci VS Fi video "Games can be emotinally fulfilling as a movie is"

ME1 was called out because of this yet they did it again in ME2 and it's great... it adds so much depth to the game.

Thank you ,best suggestion out there. I hate poetism, so I disliked the one given before this.
The only thing that's unrealistic is that Quarians wouldn't be able to adapt enough to take off their suits in Shepard's lifetime.

<snip>

Maybe not in regards to the quarians shedding their spacesuits. Tali mentions in one conversation with Shepard that the difference between the quarians getting their homeworld back as opposed to settling on a new planet might be 60 years to adjust vs. 600 years. Apparently humans can live up to 150 in the ME universe due to medical advances (though not all humans will; living conditions, access to healthcare and nutrition, etc. will affect this) and since Shepard is 30-31 years old that means he could theoretically bear witness to the quarians walking around without space suits during the sunset of his life if the quarians re-settle on their homeworld.

The citadel, tuchanka, earth, me1 squaddies, i dont care, if its death means life for tali and togetherness for her and shepard, they can consider themselves sacrificed

you forget shepard is half machine since they had to put cybernetics in him to bring him back to life....so he could be around for a long time

Of course they wouldn't do it out of spite toward the Tali lovers. I mean, any LI I'm talking about here.  Dramatically, it would definetly hit you, and pull those heart strings Bioware LOVES to pull.

If bioware didn't listen to their fans, then they wouldn't as successful as they are now. And Tali is included with that.

I agree completely.

But would Tali? Would she sacrifice
herself for the mission? I think she would, and I also think that it
is truly ironic that it is partly because of this 'others before
myself' attitude she has that we love her so, even thought it is what
may end up destroying her.

Oh. Haha :P I wouldn't know! I wasn't this sickly in love with Tali before ME2. She was my favorite next to Garrus in part 1 but MAN Bioware really pulled it off in ME2. I, myself, was blushing when Shepard and Tali confessed their love at the FTL core. Hell, it was my eventual need for caffeine that reminded me it was Shepard that got romantically entangled with her and not me.

...that realization made it the worst day of my life.:crying:

Like I keep saying, Tali's involvement in ME2 is mostly a fan service. It has to be with all the feed back Bioware got back on a side character who is the only of her race you encounter throughout the entire game.
