Yeah, I've come across such horror stories as well. While the pay may not be bad for many of them, I doubt all but a few make out like bandits. I'm not convinced I would enjoy that type of work environment. I've had high stress jobs and can cope with it but it does affect my spirit. Work hard for a fair wage and remember to take time to kick back and relax with the things and people you care about. Emergency work sessions on occasion are okay but it shouldn't become a consistent practice, IMO. It strains the work force too much, too quickly possibly hurting productivity further down the line.
ya, my sister works for Blizzard Entertainment (just throwing that in there) and some of the things she tells me that happen at work, i dont think i could work in the gaming industry. well, i probably could, but not as a programmer or sometihng like that. but, its not always bad. she says that atm they have "no vacation" policy going on right now, and they have "mandatory overtime" quite a bit. but, she says its not all bad, which im inclined to agree with. every job has its highs and lows. just how it goes. as for me, dealing with clutch situations and working under pressure, for whatever reason, are nothing new to me. on a personal note, im a communications technician by trade. namely military communications. i was in the middle east for 3 years, and if i didnt do my job, soldiers died. plain and simple. there have been times when ive been on the phone with soldiers that are underfire trying to get their communications systems back online. wanna talk about high pressure situation? short of being under fire yourself, thats pretty damn close. but again, it wasnt all bad. i enjoyed my job immensely and found it very rewarding in the long run.
anyways, enough about me (sorry for getting sidetracked), back to tali.
now, while the game has only been out for no more than 2 weeks here in the states, and less for those in europe, the most we can do is assume and guess what will happen with some of the characters. but, going off of what bioware is saying (which isnt much at this point, but, there are some subtle hints and clues that you can pick up if you pay attention) and everything thats happened in game up to this point, most of us can say that we have SOME idea of which toons will make a return. in which capacity, be they as an npc, or a squadmember, we cannot say at this point in time. i dont really think that they will take much time to add too many new squadmembers (if any at all). i think that the final installment of the game will be more based around the characters that survived the suicide mission, and those that survived all your dealings in the first game.
if a character died, they MIGHT potentially add in a replacement (eg, if tali died, put kal'reegar in her place, or something to that effect). by my count, and please correct me if im wrong, assuming everyone survived in the first game, with the obvious either ash or alenko, and with tali and garrus returning in the second game, i count total 13 playable squadmembers. thats MORE than enough. the game doesnt need anymore. im sure bioware could plug some in if someone died (but itd just be either the originals, or their replacements. either or, but not both) just so you dont get cornholed into playing the third game with only 3 squadmembers to choose from. but, thats just my feeling on it.
again, as i have said numerous times in the past in this thread (and others for that matter) i have faith that bioware will not disappoint with the third installment of the trilogy. me3 is going to truly be a game of epic proportions, the likes of which we have not seen yet.

Indeed.
I personally think we can trust Bioware to not pull a cheap dramatic "death of a party member" event on us. If they prove me wrong, I will be displeased.

Only the hours of users who bought the game on steam. So its really not even counting all ME2 PC hours.

If bioware didn't listen to their fans, then they wouldn't as successful as they are now. And Tali is included with that.
Like I keep saying, Tali's involvement in ME2 is mostly a fan service. It has to be with all the feed back Bioware got back on a side character who is the only of her race you encounter throughout the entire game.
Curious how some of the best things in life come around haphazardly, eh? First penicillin and now Tali. Outstanding!

Her dialog is so perfectly written, you feel a connection to her that transcends anything in any other game out there. Equating further development of the relationship to a dating sim cheapens her so very much. Think not of such things
I agree without reservation.
I would pursue the relationship even if from the start it was made clear the she could never take her suit off for any reason.
And that is the attitude I like to hear
Me included.
Perfect

Nice, Indie. I only draw anime (see OP) but I'll definitely add that beauty in the OP. I'm on my phone at the moment so I'll have to do it later.
Hehe, i dont do anime myself, i like the black-n-white pencil drawing myself the most.
And more to the realistic or true to the original template like what BioWare did with Tali.
And i will take a new look of the OP as well.
