ok honey...
"can i take the bucket off my head yet?"
"no no Honey... that'll ruin it..."
"ruin what?"
"what if your not as beautiful as i imagine you to be? lets keep the mystery alive honey!"
girls self-esteem drops like a rock in water....
she's a love interest. hell i'm Muslim, all Muslim girls i meet usually have their Niqab on, if i fall in love i EVENTUALLY wanna see their face. It would be shallow of me to say no, because of fear she may not be as beautiful as i dream her to be.....
lets see her with our own eyes.
if you really loved the character, than it should speak very powerfully to you when you see her eyes and face, if you somehow fine her ugly and ergo don't like her anymore, that ought to say more about you than it does about Bioware's artists and or writers...
*Applauds* And excellent Star Wars reference. Intentional?
errr no.
i just find the reason/excuse of "use your imagination" come from two things
1. It is out of fear of lack of expectation which is weak, because the main thing driving that decision is the word FEAR.
2. sounds like something out Reading Rainbow.... it's weak.
we ought to be man enough, grown up enough to deal with whatever Bioware shows us - if they ever do - to happen to be here face.
That is the problem with some fans though, and people's perception of the fans. They are too weak, too fearful of having their hopes and dreams crushed when the character they liked turns out looking different then what they pictured. Just look at any thread involving Tali's face, like the reveal/conceal thread. People's excuses is that BioWare shouldn't do it because it will upset a lot of fans. Something I think is a bull **** excuse.
I am in support of showing Tali's face, but at the same time I don't care. If BioWare decides not to show me her face then that's fine too. If they do show her face then it's awesome, I finally have a face to go along with the awesome personality. Either way I'm accepting of the matter, and that seems to be something fans lack, especially those that claim to be in it for the "mystery," which to me reveals that rather than really caring about her personality it's more about their own personal fantasy.
But whatever, that's just my biased two cents.
