How did their environment contribute to their crappy immune systems?

Home world: There planet lacked Insects so most virus were of a symbiotic nature

really?  I thought their homeworld was like any other habitable planet.  And that being in space for generations was the reason for their weak immune systems.

Seconded. Migrant Fleet containment worsened matters.
Immunities can still be built.
And therapies in works.

The space travel made the problem worse most the time when they settle into a new world they all get sick for a small amount of time then be better but they all way had weak immune systems.

it was already weak, and changing environments like colonizing planets would result in a period where they would get sick as they adapted. After their exile they lost the ability to adapt from being trapped aboard the flotilla for so long, to the point where colonization would be extremely dangerous and take generations to fully adapt.

Concur. Kudos to Sageless Ranger.

Tali can eventually become immune to Shepard and take off suit more often. Improves chances of Talimance!

Mordin may help quarians in ME3. Scientific breakthroughs may lead to better immune systems for quarians.

I think Mordin (i told him the genophage was wrong) is going to develop a cure before he dies, to repay for his guilt that he holds.

Failure to pay attention.

Quarians come from planet with no insect life. As such, plant pollen was more beneficial to make larger animals pollenate. Also, no insects means lower disease risk. As such, weak already.

Migrant Fleet with scrubbed air made situation worse. Caused weakening of already weaker than standard immune systems. Infection could mean illness for a week. It could also mean death.
