Wow I didn't think anyone would listen to me ramble.

I just did her mission today and I already forgot the house thing. That would be a great ending.

Say what you want about the changes BW made from 1 to 2, but damn they have the best story development and dialog writers of any game franchise. They wont disappoint. They know how big the fan base is for Tali.

To what The_KFD_Case said= I think all the races will get in on this one. Hannar, Volus, Elcor, hell maybe even Batarian. It's a classic theme threw out fiction. The people put aside their differences to face the greater threat. Again all depending on how you play the game that is.

To Aethelwulf1066 = I think the majority of the fans, even anti Tali folks, see the Quarian/Geth conflict will get resolved, whether peacefully or violently is another story.

Garrus will probably wind up getting shot in the other side of the face in ME3. The "How do I look." Dialog was priceless.

I have faith in BW writers will not disappoint the fans.

I find it very odd, but my GF and I broke up on good terms last night, but it's still depressing. It's quite comforting to come here to get my mind off RL for a moment. Apologies - it's quite irrelevant

I agree with your theory that the Quarian/Geth conflict will come to a head in ME3. The stage has been set in ME2, and i'm almost certain whatever stance you take on the relations of both people (Supported war or peace.) will determine how both races resolve their conflict. Perhaps you will get the build Tali her house. I certainly hope so.

I think there should be different endings for each romantic interest. A tragic one, a happy one, etc. It would add more variation and replay value, in my opinion. Though I can't imagine being satisfied with a tragic ending for her. I dislike bad endings. One of the reasons I ended up disliking Morrigan's LI story at the end of DA:O.

I would argue that precisely because BioWare opted to ensure the survival of the love interests from ME1 (there are three possibilities but you can never have more than two of them active in ME1 at any given time, which brings us back to the continuation of action and reaction theme in the ME trilogy,) it appears highly likely that all the potential love interests from ME2 will also make it in to ME3 providing you kept them alive in ME2. I also suspect ME3 will be set much closer to ME2 in terms of in-game time than ME2 was to ME1. It would fit with the rapid approach of the Reapers and it would avoid complications of keeping Thane as a viable love interest (with his medical condition he has maybe 8 months of life left).

All of this would neatly fit in with BioWare's decision not to update the graphics for ME3 (it really doesn't need it, IMO - ME2 looks beautiful) and flows with the rumors that BioWare are preparing an epic, yes epic, grand slam of an conclusion/set of possible conclusions to the ME trilogy. Allowing all possible love interests to be accessible depending on how one played their way through ME1, 2 and 3 would fit seamlessly and cover all the romance bases. Besides, not doing this after BioWare's forrays into romantic relationships with team members would simply be bad story telling, and that is not something they are known for.

 


The I see it ,  the Geth/Quarian is going to play out 2 ways... but you have to take in consideration a few things, first the allaince and the Council see the Geth as Boogey Men so its going to next to impossible to convince them no matter  how Trusting Tali and you are of Legion.   At the end of the Tali's loyality the admiral Xen sends  you and email about what she found and that she will continue Tali's Fathers work  and mke plans for war.    Legion said that as long as the Geth are not bothered they won't attack anyone  which gives us the Geth position.  Could it be that the Geth have been working to Restore the Quarin homeworld so the  "Creators'" could come home. Which would make sense because it seems most Geth don't understand why   Quarins  tried to kill they are Real like children.  


So that leaves us with  you either... join the  War effort...OR.... breaking all  kinds of  Laws  to  stop Admiral Xen attack on the Geth.   Interestingly this may play  out better if you  ACTUALLY get Tali  exlied because then you have Admiral Qwib Qwib  wanting to  actually make peace with  Geth as he states if you talk  to him.  

This could lead up to have Shephard having to actually go against the Quarins to save them and the whole Galaxy and potenail the allaince and Council as Well because they  would offer assistance  to the Quarin war effort seeing the Geth as threat to the Galaxy..

Some of that may be corrected but the from the ME Wiki says about   Quarins  probraly no scales and she would most likely have REALLY short cut hair

Each of section of the suit can be seal of so if does have to open it any infection is kept in one post but from what she says when you ask her about it for the most post no she does have to take the suit off to do repairs

Same. I hate the Batarians too. Batarians = F*cking terrorists. First they endulge themselves in the need for violence (it's clearly in their blood) by attacking the new race (humans) and then blame US for retaliating and winning the war THEY started! No matter from what perspective you look at that, the Batarians are the bad guys here.

Also, they remind me of many of the allochtonous people in the Netherlands. They cause havoc, don't respect others and side with the terrorist just for the sake of bloodshed.

Bioware has advertised mass effect 3 as an extension of you choices in previous games.  So it is safe to say mass effect 3 will be frigin huge and will have plenty of time to develop options.  You can't keep rehashing the same love scenerios.  You have to eventually develop a love story.  The reason they kept ME 1 LI out was because they wanted to explore new ones for plot points in ME 3

I think in ME3, tali is planned to become an admiral, and you will need to ask her help against reapers. The quarian will probably be at war (or near) with the geth, and you will need to also ask legion to join you. If you read carefully the conversation, she tell you the quarian want her as admiral to replace her father. And the quarian are obviously on the verge of the war.

Im pretty sure ME3 will be like dragon age, make your army strong, and kick those bastards.

For exemple, if you did all paragon and everyone survive :

tali as admiral for quarian

legion for geth

mordin + wrex + grunt for krogan (or maybe mordin for salarian)

ash/kaidan for alliance

anderson + garrus for council

zaeed/vido for blue sun/mercenaries

miranda + jacob for cerberus

liara for illium/asari

and i suppose (my 2 cents), balak the evil terrorist from ME1 dlc, for batarian. Or maybe a new batarian. There is still no batarian in the crew, i think there will be one for me3.



Anyway, if this become true (and it could be, the easiest solution, since everybody can die in ME2), so tali will be a NPC just like Wrex or liara, and not a part of the crew. You will meet her, talk a lot, have a quest, and that's all.

I just hope there will do something, or all our romance will be just npc like me1 romance in me2, with new romance from new guys.

Damn, Tali is completely dont look like an admiral. She is awesome, but she is not a leader. Also gathering the fleet to fight reavers is futile - all galaxy races have overall less then 100 dreadnoughts while each reaver is a dreadnought. And there is a legion of reavers. Bad idea.

They need another way.
