I highly disapprove of your statement. I hate sexist people. Especially women who are sexist against men.
My point is, Female Shepard is not the "real" Shepard. You have no right to say that and you shouldn't think that way. The real Shepard is YOU. Whoever you are, is real.

It's a little different for me though. For me the real Shepard is the default MaleShep. This is because he's marketed that way, and Bioware stated that that's how they see him. I never make custom Sheps. I play as the Shepard that he is, and only adding bits of my own personality in. So yeah.

One way or another, you can't say that your female Shepard is real. The closest Shepard can get to real is his marketed Gender+Face.

 Well I like Ashley from ME 1 and  had a nice little soft spot from Tali from ME 1... Then ME 2 rolls around and  Tali just   blows me away...   I will always  like  Ashleys character  she is one of the better female leads i have seen...' not  very sterotypical.  Tali you like cause she is strong damn good in combat,  witty, quirky but vulunerable in a  way.

I hear a FemShep romance with her was planned, even dialogue recorded, but scrapped. That happens frequently. I'm told male-male dialogue was also recorded and scrapped and Samara was a love interest that was decided later on to reject Shepard's advances. Jack certainly has had bisexual experiences (but became jaded from them apparently). I think giving characters solid sexuality and preferences makes them more interesting. Like Ashley not being up for a threesome with another person or Samara sticking to her code so she's not "just another Asari sex idol". Limitations often can help build character.



I prefer my FemShep to be her friend while Garrus can be her naughty counterpart.

So, to me, it's not surprising that people hate Tali. We already have a real-life comparison of how jealous people react to good people.

It's fine if people don`t like her charachter, there's nothing we can do about that and everyone has different tastes, but with people hating her because of a factor that is within our control, - forum behavior - , I think we can improve that by encouraging people to tone down "extreme" talk about her.

It is a shame that there was no same sex love this time round, but I don't think BW should make the game like Dragon Age and have a plethora of characters be bi-sexual. That isn't true in real-life, people have preferences, and some characters are written to swing a certain way.

I don't think they were being sexist at all.
I think you just took their light-hearted joke way too seriously.
I would say that person probably agrees with you,  in that everyone's own Shepard is the "real" Shepard.

None of the Quarians can likely cook. They eat a Vegan diet of ground up plants(not for any cultrual reason, but simply for the practicality that plants are much easier to keep around and require much less space than animals.

I love this Tali support thread; I say we establish an image of welcome and acceptance to everyone out there, including the haters. We, as a whole, should embody Tali's good nature and innocence! Now how about we get back to talking about Tali and how awesome she is?

Tim Tebow is gonna suck in the NFL.

Tali is the equivalent of Tom Brady and Joe Montana combined.

Curious watching this argument. Don't know who Tim Tebow is. But agreee with sentiment somewhat.

working on my third playthrough this my Shephard and Tali in combat... she how give him cover while he reloads... that's why she is a keeper.

It should be a crime to not like football in the United States. You're lucky you like Tali.
