Shepard looked over his crew from the Normandy's bridge. He had lost more than half during the attack on the Collector's Base. Still, he was surprised anybody had made it out at all. Two months, Shepard thought. It seemes like only yesterday.
Some of his team had left his side over the past couple of months. Samara, an Asari Justicar, went to Omega to battle crime and reduce villainy. Thane left in order to find a quiet place to die; he knew his death would come any day now. And Jack had gone to exact her revenge on Cerberus. Fine by me, Shepard thought. Cerberus, the group that had ressurected him, was now his enemy. Before the destruction of thr Collector's base the Illusive Man, Cerberus' leader, had asked him to keep it intact, due to the mass technology that resided there.
Shepard, assuming the base as a potential threat, refused the Illisuve Man's orders and blew it anyway. Now, it was only a matter of time before Cerberus caught up with them.
"Two months," spoke a rough voice from behind Shepard. The Commander turned, only to see Jacob. "Two months and Cerberus still hasn't caught up to us. Don't you find that odd?"
"No. Why? Should I?" replied Shepard, somewhat curious.
"I've been with Cerberus awhile now, Commander," continued the former Cerberus operative. "And I know they're not going to give up until you're dead. Still, the Illusive Man usually gets his targets a lot sooner than two months."
Shepard shrugged. "I guess we're just lucky."
Jacob's eyes narrowed thoughtfully. "Maybe," he said. "Maybe." And with that, he spun on his heel, leaving Shepard there to contimplate their situation. Jacob did make a valid point. The Illusive Man should have gotten them by now. What was taking him so long?
Shepard sighed and headed towards the elevator. He punched a button, and began his descent towards the mess hall with a number of things on his mind. First off, Cerberus. That was a bomb waiting to go off. Second, the Reapers. Shepard was almost positive he hadn't seen the last of them. They would be back, and he would have to fight them off. But would he be ready? Not even he knew the answer to that. And then there was Tali.
Tali. Shepard focused on her name for a new moments, his heart racing like a horse around a track. It was not rare for Quarian's and Human's to be in a relationship, but it was difficult. Quarian's are required to stay inside their enviromental suits at all times. This would make things difficult for the two, Shepard knew. He loved her, and she loved him, but the love was almost unrequient.
No. Shepard refused to think like that. They had been able to touch flesh with eachother once, and he was eager to do it again. Although Tali did suffer serious side effects from being outside of her suit. She was beautiful, and Shepard had not forgotten that night. Her face was a flawless pale shade of purple, with piercing, white eyes, and short, black hair. Mesmerizing. He'd find a way to be with her again.
The elevator came to a stop and the doors parted. Shepard exited the elevator, and made his way towards the mess hall. He was not surprised to find Garrus and Mordin talking amongst themselves there.
"Interesting. Scars aren't too damaged. Repairable. Can be done, I'll asist." the Solarian Scientist observed, inspecting Garrus' badly injured face.
"Mordin, how many times do I have to tell you... I like my scars." replied the Turian, somewhat annoyed.
"What is this about?" asked Shepard, pulling beside the two.
"Oh, Shepard," Garrus began, somewhat relieved. "I was just telling Mordin here how--"
"His scars. Not significant. Fixable. I can do. With ease."
"See, that's just the thing, I don't want them--"
"Knock it off you two." Shepard interrupted both of them. "Garrus, no matter how much surgery Mordin pulls on you, you're always going to be hideous." Garrus shuffled with a slight laugh. "And Mordin, I thought I told you to check the shiled generators? I need them repaired."
"Of course. But can not do alone. Need Tali. Good mechanic."
Before Shepard could respond, a voice called from behind him. "I'm right here, Mordin," called Tali, her nose a bit stuffy.
Shepard turned and she was by his side.
"Excellent. Need you. Get to engineering, repair shields. Can not do alone. Must hurry." Mordin walked passed the three, towards Engineering.
Garrus coughed awkwardly. "Well, I guess I ought to go..." he trailed off, walking backwards slowly until he finally turned and quickened his pace. Shepard's and Tali's relatiosnhip was not a secret--the entire crew knew about it. Not all of them approved, but they knew none the less.
Shepard turned to his Quarian lover. Tali embraced him, and pressed her body aginst his, her hands on his chest. "I know it's hard," she said, as if reading his mind. Shepard put his arms around her waist. "But we'll be together again. I promise. I... I'm still doing some research, and I think I might be on to something. Please, Shepard, be patient."
Shepard took her hands in his. "I'd do anything to be with you again," he assured. Tali nodded, and pulled away slowly, her hands in his until their reach failed them. She strode away, and headed towards Engineering. Shepard let out a sigh, his thoughts returning to Cerberus once more.
Suddenly, Joker's voice broke over the intercom:
"Commander, I need you on the bridge. You might want to see this..."
Shepard's eyebrows knitted together. "Okay, Joker," he said. "I'll be right there."

Ah Serjwolf, you never cease to humor me. Of course I see your poit, but if you don't like it, why do you come in here and even bother to post? It really doesn't make a lot of sense. Of course, if it wasn't related to Tali, it would be different right? Say, if were against a club, fir the sake of argument. This club was about a peticular thing you didn't like. Would you just keep insulting these people? Of course you have the right to voice your opinion, but you could at least do so in a constructive manner, instead of just harsh insulting.serjwolf wrote...

Is it "Qwib-Qwib" or "Quick Whip"? I prefer to play my games without subtitles whenever possible without losing the dialogue as I find the text distracts me and detracts from the mood (useful when sound quality is not sufficient for one's ears though).

oh its because of all the creppy xenophile freaks that waste their time disccussing how much they are attracted to a non-human video game character instead of getting a life or just posting somethign with a meaning behind it and not as a waste of time.
Thanks for sharing your opinion. Regardless of how much we disagree on this matter I will always support your right to voice your views, as well as the freedom to do so. Feeling afraid to speak out is a terrible thing, IMO.
I harbour strong feelings for Tali despite her being a fictional character. I'm not blind to the fact that she is not real in the sense that she is not physically tangible and accessible in our day-to-day world. Regardless, her character/personality/spirit represents qualities that are present in our reality and thus I can relate to them and find them hugely appealing. I should be so lucky as to someday have an opportunity to be with a woman encapsulating Tali's traits.
Is there any character in the ME universe that you find yourself particularly drawn to - romantically or platonically?

Kfd you are a better man than for taking to time to patiently talk the person. Back on topic
I am in the middle of having a fan fic idea, my muses have grabbed on to this tali thing and running with it... Plus she has given a great template for one of the characters in the Graphic Novel that im working on...
So who wants to be the wall I bounce ideas off of... :innocent:

how about just, "I support tali as a ME3 team mate"
That would make sure everyone knew the goal of the sig as well. So that, or maybe one of her phrases that she yells about her drone.
I agree it should be purple. Purple and black I think.
That would be perfect. Do this!

Likely outcome is that half will speak like Mordin and the others will speak like Legion. But adds humor to conversations. But irrelevant to current discussion. To FsDxRage, I will have you know that I did see what appeared to be her lips.
4th here. definitely seen something when she looks down and you can see near her mouth
Would now be a bad time to point out that empirically speaking human eye witnesses are the least reliable in court cases (despite the fact that they are given the most credibility), as established by psychological experiments?
