Yeah when I saw that scene I was like everything's ok Tali, we're safe now, and you're in my Shepard's for some reason extremely buff arms,

Hero of the galaxy twice over can't be a wimp.
God, Tali beneath wreakage scared me.  Oddly, had to catch Jack. (Needed biotics, already used Samara)

thats the only thing im not looking forward to.  i mean, the viper isnt a bad rifle.  the semi auto is a nice feature, and its a 12 shot clip.  but, it just doesnt have the stopping power that i associate sniper rifles with having.

but, when i ran outta ammo on my soldier's widow, i just switched to my geth pulse rifle (loaded with armor piercing rounds) and went to town.

About to start my ME1 playthrough with no romance, just to be sure, it is possible to not romance anyone right? I have heard that even if you dont romance anyone it somehow still counts in ME2.

Wouldn't know. I never lost anyone during my first playthrough.

i wouldnt know either.  but, my first playthrough i had tali sliding down the platform.  i was screaming at my pc monitor, and i was sitting on the edge of my seat.  it really was a nailbiter of a situation.  just made me even more nervous when later on tali was underneath the piece of metal that fell on her.  i was like "not again!!!  DONT DIE ON ME TALI!!!!!!!!!"

I swear my heart stopped beating for that entire cutscene.

Felt exact same way....

ME TOO! I had Garrus & Tali and when I saw Tali under that piece of metal and Shepard went to help Garrus first I was like.. "QUICK make sure Tali's ok!" LOL

I know. I was like, "**** Samara, check Tali! GOGOGOGOGO."

My 3rd playthrough I was a total renegade bastard, and let everyone die including shepard.

I have to say though, if you have never seen the scene where Shepard dies you should -- its very moving...
Though I never got why Joker couldn't of just pulled me up <_<

His bones aren't THAT weak

he's too weak with his brittle bones i suppose...

From what i watched on youtube he took a shot to the shoulder that went straight through on top of having weak bones...

Romance, sure. But you get no payout from scattered ashes!

i also was just mean to ash in the scene right after the normandy was grounded. when joker 'interrupted' we were both just standing there with our arms crossed looking mad.

   You and me both Pathogen.  I lost Thane and Grunt on my First playthrough, and by some random bit of luck i had Tali do the power slide of deah.  I too was on the edge of my seat because i did'nt know what to expect and i was nearly shouting at my Shepard "Catch her freaking hand damn it!!!"

I was alarmed the first time I saw that scene yet I reckoned that it was too much of a final "Hero" scene to let a team member die that way. Glad my faith was well placed. It got me thinking though: If we were in a similar situation (nevermind the giant, half-organic/half synthetic hostile alien) how many of us would really power slide down such a steep incline to save someone? I'm all for saving people and I would certainly want to slide down and save Tali, et al, but realistically speaking, I don't know if I'd be able to make that decision right then and there unless it was an instinctive reaction. My rational inclination would be to find a safer way to get down there and bring both people back alive...Which would be too late under the circumstances.

Also, it would depend on what you are wearing. Cotton clothes don't make for a particularly good surface contact sliding material and it's not a short slide.

I just wont talk to ash or liara, but I usually virmire kaiden, are you saying that wouldnt work?

I was just being nice to Ashley and somehow she thinks I am romantically interested in her. Fortunately for me, she got disintegrated on Virmire. I would have done it anyway, but that's how the romance died.

That was the toughest decision I think I've ever come across in any computer game to date. I was really torn and found my Shepard running back and forth for a few seconds before deciding to go for his love interest over his friend and brother-in-arms. Tough call indeed!
