Also, it would depend on what you are wearing. Cotton clothes don't make for a particularly good surface contact sliding material and it's not a short slide. :P

Oh god... I'm chafing just THINKING about that...

Also! At the final part of the last mission. Selecting Garrus first, then Tali. Will let you know how it tuns out.

About to start my ME1 playthrough with no romance, just to be sure, it is possible to not romance anyone right? I have heard that even if you dont romance anyone it somehow still counts in ME2.

I was actually wondering earlier today if you could play through ME1, romance Ashley, then have her die on virmire? I've never romanced Ashley before, so i dunno if it's even possible.

I was just being nice to Ashley and somehow she thinks I am romantically interested in her. Fortunately for me, she got disintegrated on Virmire. I would have done it anyway, but that's how the romance died.

thats a harsh breakup. "i dont like you anymore so... have fun with that nuke!"

Romance, sure. But you get no payout from scattered ashes! Image IPB

I just wont talk to ash or liara, but I usually virmire kaiden, are you saying that wouldnt work?

Said. Game may default link you to Ash.

YES! I hope we can continue the Tali romance in ME3 if we did it in ME2 :) That would be cool.

She must be a party member in ME3!

Yes. Don't make Tali like Liara where we lose direct contact.

It seems illogical to me that they would do such a thing considering that ME3 will be the swan song of Shepard. Since BioWare specifically side-lined Ashley/Kaiden and Liara during ME2 so that they could count on them being alive for ME3 story lines, including love related material, and their insistence that your choices from ME1 and ME2 will carry over to ME3, I fully expect them to have both the ME1 and all of the ME2 love interests available providing that if your love interest is from ME2 you didn't get them killed.

I still wished that after the game, after the suicide mission where you could cuddle and lay in bed with Tali, that they would of switched the picture of Ash/Liara with Tali <3

You can do that after the suicide mission!? What do I need to do to see this?

That was the toughest decision I think I've ever come across in any computer game to date. I was really torn and found my Shepard running back and forth for a few seconds before deciding to go for his love interest over his friend and brother-in-arms. Tough call indeed!

in all honesty though, i never really liked kaiden that much.  the only time i ever used him was early in the game when you didnt have a choice.  so, needless to say, i usually let kaiden die on virmire.  maybe its my military mindset coming out, but, being former military and having "the mission comes first" drilled into my head throughout my enlistment, my thought processes tended to veer in that general direction out of sheer force of habit.

Question: Does Shepard freak out more when his Love interest dies?

Wouldn't know. I never lost anyone during my first playthrough.

Neither would I. Anyone know?

lol really, who here is gonna let Tali die?Image IPB

My 3rd playthrough I was a total renegade bastard, and let everyone die including shepard.

I have to say though, if you have never seen the scene where Shepard dies you should -- its very moving...
Though I never got why Joker couldn't of just pulled me up <_<

His bones aren't THAT weak

They are weak, but also consider that Shepard is not a small man - he's tall and well muscled and wearing full body armor. Joker is presumably not the strongest fellow around given his condition and sitting in front  of the Normandy's controls most of the time. It is a very moving scene though, I agree.

Use the intercom on your desk to call Tali up to your cabin.

I find that the trick to dealing with Harbinger is to quckly take out as many of the regular Collectors as possible, even after Harbinger spawns, as long as he isn't close to you. Doing that means he can't continually re-spawn in a given fight.

thats how i always handled the collectors on my insanity soldier.  i always had my two squadmates focus on harbinger and keep him occupied while i sniped the other collectors with mah widow.  once they were all gone, i could focus all my attention on harbinger without fear of him "assuming control" of another collector.

Speaking of the Widow, since Shepard has the choice of several unique weapons onboard the Collector vessel (I picked the Revenant - badass AR) but can only pick one, is he able to pick up a second one if you play the game again with the same Shepard?

nope i did it thinking i could get the sniper rifle and when it should have came up with the menu for the guns the screen kinda blipped and then i was waling around...so maby it glitched but i dont think so...crappy think is i made a sentinal and all he got was shotgun training he didnt get any weps..../sigh

Thanks for the heads-up. Guess I'll find out if it was a glitch or not on my next playthrough (presuming I don't experience a glitch at the exact same spot).

Lol, but joker's arms are just as big as Shepard's, every human male in the game has beefy arms.

nope.  crappy deal, i know, but, thems the breaks.

Noooooooooo! I wanted to try the Widow, but I'm not in the mood to make a new character yet. I like my current Shepard who goes all the way back to ME1. Ah well, maybe next time then....Wait a moment! I have an uber extensive list of back saves. I could go back to before that mission, pick the Widow and play around with it for a few levels then go back to my Revenant wielding Shepard knowing what the Widow feels like.

At what point is this thread going to break the internets?

And at what point is Bioware going to release a Tali-centric game entirely? (Maybe flash, like DAO: Journeys, or iPhone, like ME: Galaxy. Seems like there'd be a market for it.)

Beside your personal computer in your cabin is another interface which'll say "invite Tali", then you can cuddle on the bed or couch with her.

that fine.  at least you came in here and gave your opinion in a civilized manner (kudos to you on that btw).  as such, i will give you my rebuttal on the matter in an equally civilized fashion.

i do agree with your first comment, first and foremost.  aesthetically, tali is an attractive character (by all outward appearances).

second comment, im going to have to disagree with you on that.  with what little you ARE able to differentiate, it appears that her facial structure is, for the most part, human in nature.  thats not to say that its ENTIRELY human in its looks, but, i tend to think that, of all the other races, quarians probably look the most like humans out of everyone else.  secondly,  when shepard tok talis mask off during the romance scene, and this is something ive said numerous times with regards to this scene, there was no "gah!" or "OMFGWTFBBQURFACE!!!" type of hesitation.  none whatsoever.  he just sat there and stared into her eyes (im assuming here).  after the bried eye contact, tali pounced on him like a tiger after a fat kid.  so, since there was no hesitation towards tali's outward appearance, im of the opinion that the quarians are, in fact, a race that is very easy on the eyes, if not outright attractive.

those are my arguments, take them for what you will

I just wish they talked, Tali looks like she's speaking when she's sitting on Shepard's lap but she's completely silent :(.

yeah my soldier's adrenaline rush + widow got me through insanity much easier than expected.

I haven't tried the Widow yet, but I am partial to the Revenant. Short, controlled bursts from its 80 round clips utilizing maxed out incineration rounds with the selected option of granting that ammo to squad mates when activated. Que "The Green Mile": "Barbequuuuueee! Me and Yoouuu! All night long!"
