It seems quite clear that the Illusive Man has had something done to his eyes. What exactly I don't know. The thought has occured to me that it would be a delicious irony if he were actually an AI placed in a synthetic body made to look human and had somehow acquired programming that made him/it prioritise humanity above all else (similar to some of Isaac Asimov's sci-fi novels). If that were the case the smoking would just be for show, but if push came to shove I'd say he is a human who has undergone some sort of implant surgery.

Add to Shepard's reaction that there is an ever so slight smile in his expression right before Tali pounces on him. It is so subtle that you will miss if it you blink. I've stated it before and will do so again: It is perfectly done, IMO. Kudos to BioWare.

theres that as well.  i ALWAYS forget that little snippet of information (which is crucial to the whole scene in my opinion).

Nah. Her tales of being a migrant spacer and the adventures she had on her pilgrimage, tracking geth and salvaging the memory core and then fleeing to the Citadel have Shepard completely enthralled. As highly social beings, the quarians are all very good story tellers with a rich oral tradition.

How is that 'gay'? Hell, you should be thanking Bioware! They've created an entertainment product that's actually made you *think*! A lot of companies shoot for that goal, and fall short.

And hey, if it's given you a new aspect of relationships, that's a good thing, too. Never hurts to broaden your horizons emotionally.

True, true. And Tali's right hand gestures indicate she's chortling away. Aww. So sweet. Damn it. She (and BioWare) got the emotional hooks sunk deep into me...and in spite of the bittersweetness of it all, I'm enjoying it.

As to Tali's appearance,
1) Bioware won't make her ugly. They will intentionally try to make her attractive. It's not hard.
2) Some people have specific interpretations, but really, you can't really tell much from just the mask. She has two eyes and a nose, and some kind of mouth to speak, that's all of know. Her eyes do appear to be glowing somewhat, so I would be surprised if they didn't unmasked.
3) We liked Tali already without having seen her face. Her personality, and less importantly, her body outline is what made us like her. So the face should not be so important. Although it would be great to see. And have Shepard kiss her
4) The reason why the masks do not show the face probably has to do with privacy, or the material that shields the quarian from harmful material is not able to be see-through. As to privacy, the Migrant Fleet is cramped so a suit and a hidden face could be the only privacy that they get.

Sometimes in ME and ME2 I get to a point where I'm faced with a decision and I have to just stop and really think hard about it for a while. MarineBorn, the fact that its made you think like you have outside and everywhere like that is amazing. You should thank Bioware

I just turned off the music and listened for a good 3 minutes or so. I heard nothing but ship sounds.

Thanks for the feedback. I figured it was probably just a lack of sleep, headset ghost sounds and my wishful thinking.

Yeah I'm the same, they got me hook, line and sinker. Love that scene with them on the couch together, it looks like she's really enjoying herself and relaxing
