I had heard rumors that the Conflict scene was reversed with Legion pulling a gun on Tali, but once I'd gone down and talked to him I realized that couldn't be the case.
Tali is a very important part in shaping how Quarian's view the Geth, it was good I didn't cater too heavily to her emotions, and she gets over herself pretty quickly. Even lets Legion send back some non-essential data about the Creators.
Like Caduceus says, once I met Legion I realized there was a good chance for peace. Its quite clear the Geth have no specific need for the Quarian homeworld, and if they can become accepted by the rest of the galaxy we can offer some inhospitable (to organics anyway) region of the galaxy thats rich in resources and more suited to their tastes. Its a win-win.

I saw a video of that where she relents a little. That still made me feel weird, so I opted not to even bother. I felt like I would be betraying Tali, and I ain't going to do that. Besides, I did not need Legion.
I was thinking the same thing as you. I didn't want a Geth on my ship, especially knowing how Tali would react to him. But then I thought, "Well, on the Reaper, he didn't shoot either of us. Hell, he 'saved our lives' as Shepard said, even though I could have killed them, but meh. I'll give him a chance. If push comes to shove, I can just kill it like all of the other Geth I've destroyed." So I reactivated him. And I'm glad I did. What better way to learn about the Geth than from one of them?
That, and the fact that Legion seems to have developed a unique personality past the 1,000 'voices' inside of his[their] mobile platform. What *is* the real reason he uses a piece of Shepard's N7 armor to repair himself? Was it the only material available, as he says once, or is it something else. Could he have done it out of respect for Shepard?
