There seems to be so much misunderstanding between the two. The Geth don't have a way of communicating with most organics just because there's so much suspicion of them, it seems like deep down they just want to be able to get along and/or be left to their own devices.

Quarians just want their home back.. I wonder how they react when they find out that nobody even lives on their homeworld and that the very few Geth there are doing their best to clean it up in anticipation for the Quarian's return?

At the end of the day though I'll go with what Tali wants... won't do anything to hurt her :)

We really have to stop meeting this way.:P In complete agreement. Sure, going to a club or bar once in a while with friends can be fun yet I don't go to such places expecting to meet a serious love interest and I don't go there to pick up women either.

Would you rather have a violent, heated debate? :o

But yeah. I'll go *some*times, but it's only with my friends, and it's very rare. Last time, for example, I went with my friend because he was invited to go by a co-worker he's had a thing for for ages. I was there, not drinking (I don't drink anyway) to make sure he didn't make an ass of himself, haha.

A bonafide wingman then! hehe

I had heard rumors that the Conflict scene was reversed with Legion pulling a gun on Tali, but once I'd gone down and talked to him I realized that couldn't be the case.

Tali is a very important part in shaping how Quarian's view the Geth, it was good I didn't cater too heavily to her emotions, and she gets over herself pretty quickly. Even lets Legion send back some non-essential data about the Creators.

Already posted that I was done with it. Shouldn't have let any personal info slip into this thread. And I apologize.

And I read your post, clicked "Reply" and saw that you had changed it. No offense taken. I don't expect you to know the extent of our relationship, so there's no harm done.

Back to Tali!

Like Caduceus says, once I met Legion I realized there was a good chance for peace. Its quite clear the Geth have no specific need for the Quarian homeworld, and if they can become accepted by the rest of the galaxy we can offer some inhospitable (to organics anyway) region of the galaxy thats rich in resources and more suited to their tastes. Its a win-win.

I saw a video of that where she relents a little.  That still made me feel weird, so I opted not to even bother.  I felt like I would be betraying Tali, and I ain't going to do that.  Besides, I did not need Legion.

Speak for yourself. I want her in ME3, I want her in ME3 as a squad mate, but I don't really wanna see her face. It keeps the mystery alive.

I did like Governator did. I gave Legion to Cerberus. Tali had her father killed by the Geth. Her entire people are screwed over because of the Geth. And Shepard wants a Geth on the Normandy? Risky. I roleplayed as "myself" and I didn't recruit Legion, as I reasoned that I would be too suspicious of AI, especially the Geth who I fought along with Sovereign. In addition, there is the fact that Tali wouldn't be too keen on it. In ME3 I will support the Quarians against the Geth and hopefully Tali will have her homeworld back. Along with a house with Shepard.

Props, bro!  I just did not have the heart to do that to Tali, but I did not give Legion to cerberus.  My Shepard hates Cerberus.  I just let it rot wherever we put it on the ship.  Seems a shame that you don't have the option to just leave it on the reaper.

I was hoping for an option where I could just throw Legion out the airlock or otherwise destroy it. Since I didn't seem to have that option, I just went with giving it to Cerberus. "I" was too suspicious of the Geth, having no reason to trust it. For all I knew, Legion could be controlled by a Reaper trying to subtly work against Shepard on the Normandy. Plus, as  I said, it would upset Tali who just had her own father killed by these things.

That's not what I took from it. What Legion states is that the Geth can not bring about peace on their own insinuating that the Quarians have to be willing to meet them halfway. Legion specifically states that the Geth do not judge the Quarians for acting/feeling the way they do since the Geth consider it to be a flaw in the programming as organics, and since the Geth appear to be firm believers in the school of thought that all species should determine their own future it doesn't seem like a problem for them to hand over the Quarian worlds which Legion mentions they don't use but simply clean up and take care of (much like they were originally programmed to do). The Geth only attacked because they were set upon by the Quarians first. Self-defence.

Yeah. If they were to reveal her face they should do it in the end of the game.
You know, when Shep and Tali get married. He takes her mask off to kiss her and
then we all see her face for the first time. That would be nice.

I was thinking the same thing as you. I didn't want a Geth on my ship, especially knowing how Tali would react to him. But then I thought, "Well, on the Reaper, he didn't shoot either of us. Hell, he 'saved our lives' as Shepard said, even though I could have killed them, but meh. I'll give him a chance. If push comes to shove, I can just kill it like all of the other Geth I've destroyed." So I reactivated him. And I'm glad I did. What better way to learn about the Geth than from one of them?

That, and the fact that Legion seems to have developed a unique personality past the 1,000 'voices' inside of his[their] mobile platform. What *is* the real reason he uses a piece of Shepard's N7 armor to repair himself? Was it the only material available, as he says once, or is it something else. Could he have done it out of respect for Shepard?

Why do ppl want to be friendly with AI who drove a race from their homeworld???It doesn't make much sense to me???Terminator never went for peace,Matrix never went for peace???HUMANS would not be friends with AI who took our world and drove us from it..Could someone help me figure this out??Why do you want to warm up to the Geth??

I won't speak for the rest, but I'm not advocating the Quarians and the Geth becoming all buddy-buddy. There's a lot of bad blood (at least seen from the Quarians' eyes) between them. That does not however rule out the possibility of a cool yet civil arrangement. Remember the old saying, "Good fences make for good neighbours", etc.

The trick would be to convince the Geth through logic (they aren't emotional beings after all) that they do not stand to lose anything by relinquishing the Quarian worlds and that the Quarians are committed to leaving them in peace. That will require persuading the Quarians whom are emotional beings and have 327 years of grievances to overcome against the Geth.

How come I have the feeling that the only thing the Quarians need to do is ask the Geth to leave their world? It seems so...weirdly possible lol.

We share that feeling. As long as the Geth are not attacked I don't think they would get in the way.

Yeah I agree. Geth are machines, their judgments are based on logic and outcome. There's no anger, hatred, or emotions.

I think the Geth would pretty much see it as logical for them to leave and let the Quarians back on to their homeworld. Geth can live anywhere, Quarians can't. Them leaving would also greatly reduce hostility between Quarians and Geth; peace is logical.

Obviously, the Geth would also lose out on their facilities and installations on the planet, and this loss would be calculated against the benefits of letting the Quarians back on their planet. Maybe the Quarians can sweeten the deal by giving the Geth their flotilla ships and helping them move their stuff?

whoa whats up with all the Legion hatred. I ended the fight between him and Tali by telling them they both were right... Legion came very much in handy on the last mission, he was my vent runner.

From what the dialogue with him plays at is that the Geth don't understand why the Quarins their creators tried to destroy them. what i noticed from talking to Legion is that the Geth are very child like in many ways... I was actually glad i was able to keep both Legion and Tali loyalities

Bring him on Tali's loyalty mission talk to the Quarian Admiral chip chip or w.e. the one who supports peace, ask Legion what he thinks of peace...What I got from it was Geth do not trust organic life.Stats.
