A war is too dangerous when they don't have a planet. If they lose the fleet, then what do they have left? Its not like they have anywhere to go besides the citadel, which couldn't handle the inflow of millions of refugee Quarians.

Yea but Shepard doesn't know that, before talking to Legion. He doesn't know it was the heretics who served Sovereign (that's what happened, right?) As far as he knows so far, the Geth are an aggressive race who have only shown themselves to be violent worshippers of the Reapers. The fact that they're synthetics dehumanizes them, so it's easier to generalize them as being mindlessly violent and dogmatically obsessive of the Reapers. You can't really do the same thing for say the "races" of the human species, because they are human and any rational person will know that every human is an individual no matter what background. With the Geth, you're not so sure. They could just be copies of themselves.

As for saving Shepard's life, well...Shepard doesn't get killed by a husk in a single swipe. Husks aren't particularly smart. Shepard or a teammate could have interrupted the husks from attacking. Omnigel can heal wounds. The Reapers have manipulated sentients and synthetics before, so Shepard can still be suspicious. Plus as I said, slap in the face to Tali.

Geth do not live on planets they live on Space stations they built and are upload into a (Cyberspace) and there bodies are Mobile platforms geth do not fear death since they die everything they have know .alll the other geth/programs would know as wellbeat the game contuine and keep talking to legion lots of codec updates about the geth till then Most pll i seen in this thread are missing out of some big information to add into there thuoghts

theQuarians had the power and the abilitiy to Baby the Geth to ...evolve them ....from what we leran from legion ...they would have been perfectly fine still doing there jobs/tasks
Since all they had to tell them was U were made For This this and this becuase blah blah blah
all in all the Geth would have not attacked at all . it was self defence not bashing Quarians at all it was just a misunderstanding
If i made somthing and it asked me that question id dam well tell it

Speak for yourself. I want her in ME3, I want her in ME3 as a squad mate, but I don't really wanna see her face. It keeps the mystery alive.

Considering that those of us who would like to see her face have no other way of determining what she looks like unless BioWare reveal her face, and that you, and those who share your point of view, can close your eyes, look away or super-impose a mental imprint of her masked face on her if she is unmasked, doesn't that seem more equitable? I liken it to the smoking vs. non-smoking debate. Someone's toes are going to be stepped upon, the difference in the latter scenario being that no one will develop cancer from not smoking and since second hand smoke is just as harmful, if not more so, to people standing near smokers that trumphs the decision in favour of non-smoking, IMO. The two scenarios are not directly related yet share the same underlying mechanic in terms of reaching a decision.

just figured was a bit coincidental how well it matched up. original creator was in agreement, just an alternate, not a replacement

That's not what I took from it. What Legion states is that the Geth can not bring about peace on their own insinuating that the Quarians have to be willing to meet them halfway. Legion specifically states that the Geth do not judge the Quarians for acting/feeling the way they do since the Geth consider it to be a flaw in the programming as organics, and since the Geth appear to be firm believers in the school of thought that all species should determine their own future it doesn't seem like a problem for them to hand over the Quarian worlds which Legion mentions they don't use but simply clean up and take care of (much like they were originally programmed to do). The Geth only attacked because they were set upon by the Quarians first. Self-defence.

Bring him on Tali's loyalty mission talk to the Quarian Admiral chip chip or w.e. the one who supports peace,ask Legion what he thinks of peace...What I got from it was Geth do not trust organic life.Stats.

And why would they? The Quarians attacked the Geth first because they began asking if they had souls like the Quarians, remember?

The Quarians tried to shut them down to save their species,and it was illegal to create AI.The Quarians were doing the right thing here.Yea the Quarians didn't create Ai w.e. when the Geth ask about a soul there now Illegal AI.Imagine if the Quarians won and killed the Geth...Do you think the council would have cared or been happy Illegal AI wasn't running free in the galaxy??The Geth were going to attack one day,they were created to be a worker,when 2 species want more from the same planet conflict is bound to happen,the Quarians made the first move.

How is examining a disabled Geth with a piece of N7 armor strapped to it a slap in the face? You point out as much to her when she questions bringing it with you on the Reaper IFF mission. It was a huge opportunity, Tali wouldn't let her personal feelings get in the way of that...especially because of her personal feelings.

They did. Which is why they went in to exile from the Geth who allowed them to pursue their own future since that is one of their core values. Legion was surprised and dismayed to discover that the Heretics had been spying on the Geth.

I didn't say examining, there's nothing wrong with studying it. You could study it without activating it. Keeping the Geth on board and having it join the mission is what I meant.

Nice. The original has been my favourit fan video of ME2 so far and this one is fast approaching an equal status. Thanks for sharing!

P.S. Beautiful song and music.

P.P.S. I like how John Mayer sings "even if your hands are shaking" and right after that Shepard's hand grabs out after Tali's as they are sliding down the collapsing platform. Nice timing. Oh, and the song fits some of the relationship talk we had earlier here.

P.P.P.S. Is there some way for you to add Tali's line from the original "Fairy Tale" video at the end as the music plays?
