Yea what you quoted pretty much said it was the Quarians fault, but not wrong IMO .And not wrong to want to take your home back.

Wrong? Correct me if I -am- wrong, but it seems that the Quarians provoked the conflict in the first place, simply because the Geth were becoming independent. What would have happened had the Quarians tried a peaceful solution to the Geth problem, instead of just trying to shut them down (Which is the equivalent of murdering them.)?

And there's nothing wrong with them wanting their world back, but the Quarians are to blame for everything that's happened to them.

So Geth killing of millions and driving the Quarian race from their rightful homeworld was the "Right"thing to do?

The Quarians attempting to commit genocide, to wipe out the entire Geth race was a declaration of war. The Geth did what they did out of fear, almost an eye for an eye type deal. Again, the Quarians started it, and they paid for it. It was -wrong- for the Quarians to try and wipe out the Geth, and I can't blame the Geth for doing what they did in retaliation.

Welp, I started my second game of ME2 to play with my renegade FemShep from ME1, but its almost disappointing in a way that I won't be able to romance Tali in this one. Hehe.

We don't know if the Quarians pursued a peaceful option. Actually, we do - shutting them down is peaceful. Then, the Geth seem to go mad and start attacking. If you accidentally provoke a bear, you don't expect you can negotiate with it, do you? No, you're scared ****less and want to run away or kill it to save yourself. I am comparing animals to the Geth because the Geth were likely seen only as servant AI. The Quarians didn't expect that their programming would eventually have the Geth evolve to philosophical thought. So far as we know, the Quarians could have tried shutting down the Geth ONCE, and then the Geth go on a killing spree. Shutting them down is not the equivalent of murder.

If you could only save either an organic child or a geth, which one would you choose? The child could have a family. The child could die, and the child would die permanently. The child was born through painful labor of a loving mother. The family could have poured heart and soul into raising this children, in the process of doing so sacrificing a lot of time, money, and happiness. The Geth has no family, no loved ones, and could be repaired or cloned. Who do you choose?

The Geth splinting into diff groups prove they have diff pov on where their race should go,after 300 year the Geth have never attempted to make peace, they kill every ship that ventures past the vale, shi* they even send some back full of husk, but this is just the heritics so it ok.w..e.Since the Geth have split into diff groups before it could happen agian, the Geth may not agree on peace with the Quarians, you just assume the Geth are peaceful and the Quarians are not?

I agree that it is not wrong for the Quarians to want their homeworld back. I would too. What I'm advocating is a peaceful solution to regaining their homeworld while still being true to our values. If no Quarian lives need be lost to achieve that goal then why push for war? In the words of Machiavelli: "Wars begin where you will, but do not end where you please."

I agree a peaceful solution could be found, but on that same chance a peaceful solution may not be the answer.

Shutting them down is not peaceful, shutting them down is the equivalent of killing them. They are purposefully taking away a sentient being's ability to operate. I agree they probably didn't have the insight to make a better choice at the time, it was largely a knee jerk reaction. That doesn't change the fact that it was wrong and that justifies the geth's retaliation.

I think both sides are at fault. I can understand the Geth just wanting to survive during the "Morning War" as they call it. I don't know why they decided to drive the Quarians away from their homeworld completely though.

Especially given that they would soon leave the planet THEMSELVES. All they do is take care of it and maintain/rebuild on it.
