Well no kidding. But without a face, she still looks like every other Quarian.Garlador wrote...
The reward for seeking a relationship with Tali is TALI.
*Sigh*That's enough for me. I don't NEED to see her face to make her a "special quarian" or to understand and read her emotions.
You're missing the point.
I acknowledged that Liz does a great job of conveying emotions without a face, but this isn't about what you NEED, it is about what you WANT. The helmet is like wearing the veil -- even TALI hates it. It worked in that it helped us to get to know and love Tali even without a pretty face -- it allowed us to concentrate on her personality, and so we have. But now that we have already gotten into the relationship, all it does is serve to decrease her individuality.
Yes, just like every other Quarian. You can even see Tali's beautiful, glowing eyes behind her visor anyway. Subtle, but noticable shifts in how she looks at you.
Yes I understand that. Once again, I acknowledged that Tali does a great job of conveying emotion vocally and somatically. But aside from the fact that I really don't believe your statistic (it's too simplistic a statement to actually be the result of a rigorous scientific study) your point simply isn't relevant to what I was saying. And as Kelly says, Tali conveys her affections just as much through body language... and she's right. The way she moves and looks at you, the inflections in her voice... even a real human study showed that body language accounts for 70% of what we interpret from others.
My point is that it increases Tali's individuality as a member of her race if we have a face associated with her. She would, in fact, be the ONLY Quarian whose face we see. When I think of Tali I'd rather have a person to picture, rather than a couple of glowing orbs behind a bubble, distinguishable from other Quarians only by the color of her suit.
Yes, of course her dialogue and body language are important, but once again it isnt about what I need in order to be attached to her, it is about what I want now that I AM attached to her.
If Not.
Just wait. i'm sure Bioware will show it at the end of ME3, you just have to be patient.
the only thing all of us Tali Fans are having right now. are pretty much the issues of not having enough interactions with our Love interest.
and hearing they have a plan for ****load of DLC for ME2, we're just throwing out suggestions that they should make Romance DLC to explore Relationships even further. after Sex. after everything. just something to build up for ME3's big confrontation between Liara/Ashley and Tali/any other romance.
Knowing Bioware. They Have Love Interests in nearly every game they make. so they should know how much this means to us... they should know... how much we LOVE.
:wub:LOVE
so there should be no reason for us not suggesting ROMANCE FOCUSED DLC
it's pretty self-explainatory.
P.S Sure she looks like other Quarians.
but do other Quarians have a Knife on their boot? do other Quarians have Packs on their arms?
Do other Quarians carry around shotguns and pistols? do Other Quarians have their Veil Overlapping their shoulders and strapped to their chest so their breasts stick out? no. other Quarians look like what she did in ME1 the Veil behind their heads. this just makes it look like she's more. mature.
plus. THOSE F-FREAKING HIPS. no other Quarian. has those hips.

Yeah I know, man. Since I stopped playing ME2 because I completed it and want to wait a few weeks for DLCs and refreshment to replay it, I actually suffer from the emotion of missing ME2 (Tali, mostly). People can laugh about it or respect my candor. It's how I feel.
I'll be one of the people who'll try to keep this thread alive for as long as possible by posting my support every few days.

So I figured I'd go for Miranda on my second playthrough. Only problem is, its going the same way as the last time. I'm like one or two conversations away from where Tali will ask me to choose basically. And to be honest, I think Miranda will have to remain disappointed.

On a side note. Anyone else had this problem. My first playthrough I had Miranda ready to go more or less. She was just waiting for it to quiet down abit. Then I got Tali, started talking to her, got her loyalty mission. Did the mission with a tear in my eye. Talked some more, and she started flirting and one thing led to another. And I suddenly found myself explaining to Miranda that it wasn't going to work between us, then I ran right back down to Tali to continue flirting with her. And completed the romance with Tali right before the final mission.

So when I started the romance with Tali, he kept saying, "She's so cute! Tali is totally my favorite character!"
Yeah, I be converting the unwashed masses, one playthrough at a time.

So my roommate watched my play through of ME2 from start to finish (He doesn't work, so as soon as I got home he'd be all, "You gonna play Mass Effect now?") and when I started talking to him about how much I liked Tali from the first Mass Effect, he just said, "Whatever." After I did her recruitment and loyalty mission though, I pretty much had him hooked.
