The reward for seeking a relationship with Tali is TALI.
Well no kidding. But without a face, she still looks like every other Quarian.
That's enough for me. I don't NEED to see her face to make her a "special quarian" or to understand and read her emotions.
*Sigh*
You're missing the point.
I acknowledged that Liz does a great job of conveying emotions without a face, but this isn't about what you NEED, it is about what you WANT. The helmet is like wearing the veil -- even TALI hates it. It worked in that it helped us to get to know and love Tali even without a pretty face -- it allowed us to concentrate on her personality, and so we have. But now that we have already gotten into the relationship, all it does is serve to decrease her individuality.
You can even see Tali's beautiful, glowing eyes behind her visor anyway. Subtle, but noticable shifts in how she looks at you.
Yes, just like every other Quarian.
And as Kelly says, Tali conveys her affections just as much through body language... and she's right. The way she moves and looks at you, the inflections in her voice... even a real human study showed that body language accounts for 70% of what we interpret from others.
Yes I understand that. Once again, I acknowledged that Tali does a great job of conveying emotion vocally and somatically. But aside from the fact that I really don't believe your statistic (it's too simplistic a statement to actually be the result of a rigorous scientific study) your point simply isn't relevant to what I was saying.
My point is that it increases Tali's individuality as a member of her race if we have a face associated with her. She would, in fact, be the ONLY Quarian whose face we see. When I think of Tali I'd rather have a person to picture, rather than a couple of glowing orbs behind a bubble, distinguishable from other Quarians only by the color of her suit.
Yes, of course her dialogue and body language are important, but once again it isnt about what I need in order to be attached to her, it is about what I want now that I AM attached to her.
Apparently you're missing the point.
Tali's face should be hidden. otherwise. she'd just be either a sexy beast, then EVERYONE would say "WE LOVE TALI TOO" when they JUST see her face. but if you were a true Tali Fan. you'd actually feel the emotion from the story that she met shepard after he saved her from Fist's Trap. He. Saved her. NO ONE apparently cares about Quarians. Shepard. Shepard does. Shepard is the only one who stands up for Quarians.
as you see in the Citadel. you can Stand up for the Quarian being hassled by the C-Sec officer and the Volus. then you can send them packing after the C-Sec tells her he's gonna keep an eye on her.
Quarians are mistreated because they created the Geth. but mostly because they think of them all as mysterious evil scheming thieves.... just because they're looking for stuff during their pilgrimages....
now you. call yourself a fan because you want to get over it if she's either ****ing hot or just as ugly as a batarian? GET THE
:bandit:
:bandit: OUTTA HERE. Shallow. GO Chase Miranda if you want "Sexy"
but if you want a real woman. Tali. is the way to go. faceless, and to the imagination. mysterious.
Good to see this thread is still going strong

Don't bash the man for wanting to see Tali's face, i want to see it as well, she hates to where it, and hopefully in ME3 somebody finds a cure for the quarians, (doubtful) but I don't like her just because it doesn't show her face, in fact when she is talking I totally forget the fact that she is wearing a helmet. I have said it before, make it an option to see her face so that it isn't spoiled for the folks that would rather not see it.
