If somehow you get her killed you can just start over the final battle and pick somebody else to go in her place or keep her with you at all times. So I agree, you can make it so she does stay alive anyways if you made a mistake picking the wrong people to do something in the final battle. I don't see how anyone would want to kill Tali off. That'd just be so wrong and sad.

In all fairness, romancing Miranda I woldn't consider one shallow.  Infact, I think that would apply to all of the LI's in the game.

Just because it's not Tali, that shouldn't mean that everyone else who doesn't pick is automatically shallow.  All of the other LI's have just as interesting personality traits that well worth looking into.  However, I'm not arguing against Tali in any way, I'm merely pointing out that not picking her alright too.

That being said, I Tali is still awesome.  Otherwise, I wouldn't be in this thread.

I think the only persons death I didn't care for was Miranda's. Legion will be missed

It's not that I want to kill Tali, it's that I want to kill off two of my Shepards. This means Tali will likely die as a result. Horrendous collateral damage, but if there's no way around it...

I am surprised that I beat ME2 so soon. I wanted more of the story and more tali, but it was already over. 20+ hours is good, but I just wanted more. DLC's will hopefully fix that problem. when I bought bring down the sky, I expected more dialogue and such, but no. at least it made an appearance in ME2 if you bought it.

Well i didn't mean romancing Miranda would be shallow, the person who posted the original post hat i replied to was shallow, only caring about how someone looks which is why i said Miranda because she technically the perfect women (or at least that's what she says, i personally think Tali is better)

Me too, but I always want more. I'm going to feel the same way at the end of ME3. It isn't the same if you replay it.

yes i agree, at the end of the game (i just finished my second play through) i found myself wanting more of Tali or the Flotilla. I just wanted to go back and explore around a bit since i found the Quarians my favourite species because there just so interesting IMO.

Psh 20 hours? lol. Mine was almost 40 the first time through. I'm on my second play through and I've just landed on horizon and it's already got 12hours. Hehe, i like to explore. Plus I'm on insane too.....

At the end of ME3, I want there to be a wedding or something very significant to your love interest. that would be very fitting i think to end a romance subplot. but to me, romance is as much as a part of the game as anything else.

yes indeed, a good way to end the game. Which is also unfortunate, the series is ending after 3 games... i guess we can't expect them to make them forever. Although i'm fairly confident we can see a Mass Effect MMO (and maybe an RTS? i don't know if ME can be an RTS IMHO)

The romance sub plot is my favorite part of any Bioware story.  They are so good at it.

Jesus tap dancing christ, this is about to hit 60 pages? It's only been a day and a half!



I've made long posts basically trying to explain to people why Tali is so beloved (atleast from my understanding), in past Tali threads, and I might make another one in here if need be, but I'll just state, that yeah, Tali's awesome. And my biggest wish is that you can mance her as a female, or atleast leave the option that you both make it clear your the most important person in your life. Iunno, if they could get away with the Kelly stuff, I could see them getting away with it if Tali if they really wanted too.



Oh, and I've gotten my nerdy shoes on, as I've taken early steps into writing a FemShep/Tali fanfic. Let me re-adjust my glasses...
