Well to me i wouldn't want to save someone who has the heads so far up their ass, just because it's warm. I mean seriously, the council doesn't want to deal with the reaper threat because they don't believe it, they don't deal with it becaue they're in denial. And the alliance, well i might have to rethink sacrificing them. They just didn't have the resources, because they exhausted them saving the goddamn council. So council < alliance < Tali.

New topic? I was wondering, Who managed to NOT get Tali exiled in the trial? I didn't have high enough paragon to do so, but it might be for the good. If she hadn't ben exiled, she could very well have replaced her father in ME3, meaning shouldn't come with you as a squad member.

Indeed it was. But importantly logically if Mass effect 2 sells well which It has been doing then bioware has more liscence to simply return old characters and have deaths in the suicide mission be a consequence and mets face it most players probably got a 90% survival rate anyway.

that's the problem with ME2 and ME3 is that theres so many possibilities, having Tali return as a teammate will be hard... unless they make it so people who had her alive will get her as a teammate and people who had her die could enlist another Quarian.

I also heard somewhere a theory about that Ancestor Data which makes it so if Tali dies they can bring her back throguh the Data in a clone body or something...

Source to this awesome info please?

Sorry dude i looked all over for the last 20 mins and i couldn't find it (a search feature would be nice), i remember what the thread was though: it was someone speculating about who and how the ME2 teammates could be in ME3, he was a fan of Tali so he said "
she could be a teammate or if she dies in ME2 she could be cloned because the Quarians were testing advanced technology which allows memories of ancestors to be stored as data on computers which would allow them to 'extract' Tali's memories and add them to the new cloned version of her."

i paraphrased it so it's not word for word but that;s basically what he said.

I managed, you just have to save the first two quarians (regar and the one from Freedoms Progress) and then Raly the croud.
I didnt think Renegade or Paragon would be able to pull it off to be honest

But I know what you're saying, and so far from what we've seen earth is the most densily populated planet.....11 billion people.... so that be a decision i wouldn't wanna make.

See, to me, this is the decision that I really hope they don't go for. I understand, you can't always have a happy ending, but having to decide between billions of lives and my pick for the best video game character I've ever seen...

Please don't do that to us Bioware. We've already kept Tali safe once, don't make us have to do it again (:

I remember Tali saying how she wanted nothing more to do with the flotilla after the way they treated her.

She did say some people were voting her for admiral though. So....I don't know..

Btw I didn't get her exiled.

Maybe I missed the option in the dialoge? I saved Veetor and Kal Reeger. All I had on the wheel was the paragon choice, renegade, lie, or present the evidence.

there are 2 ways to not get her exiled (SPOILER)

one way is paragon way and the second is: after you're dismissed to go to the science ship to investigate you talk to Veetor and Reegar (and be polite) and then everyone else (the Admirals) and make sure you ask there opinions about the infighting, then once they ask if you have new evidence (after the science ship) just rally the crowd, Shepard will talk about the war with the Geth and how it affected the Admirals opinion and then Veetor and Reegar defend Tali.

[Potential Spoiler]

Well, she didn't get exiled in my playthrough.. I chose the option "[Rally the Crowd]" after talking to the insane guy I've forgotten and Kal'reegar - worked fine for me.

Oh, and not showing the evidence recovered about her father.

This is why they are going to do it.  We care.  That is what drives Bioware.  They want to affect you, move you, SCAR you, with their games.  Perhaps it wont be this big of a decission of sacrifice, but I imagine it will be of comparable size and signifigance.

The paragon choice worked for me......but i also think it's a combination of what you pick after you start that dialogue branch.

I was a very high Paragon, and was able to make everyone realize how punishing this girl for politics over the Geth was unfair to the girl who showed the value of the species. All 3 voted her innocent

Apparently Tali thinks it's fun to watch me shout.

Well there's what I missed, I went straight to the ship and talked to no one, I was told to hurry anyway. Can you even go back to the Flotilla after Tali gets exiled?

My paragon score wasn't high enough apparently. Made me sad.

Also i think if you did save her from exile she'll become an Admiral, but she might join you again.... you never know right? i mean you helped her more than 3 times (pilgrimage, with Veetor, with her Father) and chances are everyone here Romanced her so i think she might join you in ME3

I wonder about this paragon thing. The exile along with Miranda and Jack and other "my paragon was not high enough" stuff bugs me. I imported a level 60 character that gave me like 160-something paragon points right off the bat, and I was able to do any paragon option at all times. I'm doing NG+ and it doesn't start you off with the exact same bonuses as importing a level 60 character I believe, and so far I still am able to get all the paragon choices.

No, you're locked out.

But I think this event locks down the fact that she will indeed be back.

THink about it, if she were exiled, where would she go? With Shepshep of course.

you can't go back after, which is why i want a DLC for ME2 to go back or a chance to help the Flotilla fight the Geth (and mayve retake their homeworld) in ME3
