I totally missed this post when I was reading.
Of course being a black and white robot with no differences or emotions is definetly no fun, but there's a line, there's different and original. Then there's just plain weird.

LOL cant believe when I first saw this thread it was only 20 pages very nice topic gay warden once again i think everyone should applaud you for this conversation. But it seems to be getting off topic i recommend a new thread and question about Tali like what we wish for mass effect 3 because tali is immortal you have proved that LOL. Once again good job gay warden.
We can keep discussing in this thread, I dont see the reason for another, as long as things dont end in total topic derailment. You should've seen the OP when he first posted it, it was much less organized... and it was smaller.
Indeed it was lol. And there wasn't much discussion lol, i'm glad there were a few of us who projected their ideas. Kudos to you peoples. you know who you are lol.

I dont think it's a problem to be attracted to Tali. So what if she's an alien video game character. She's amazing. Besides, I'm more attracted to her as her, not her body even. Though it's still wonderful.

indeed, which is why other people don't understand why we like here. they think a person has to have a nice body to be "hot". It's a matter of opinion...

I agree with that. I am quite attached to all the characters, not just Tali. I am the same way when I read books and such. I have a lot of empathy for the characters and their role in the story.Litos456 wrote...

I always love to see that continued. Its nothing weird, its just losing myself in the telling of a story.

I think ME3 will be modular more then people realize. And vastly effected by saved games. They don't have to focus on just because anybody can die in ME2 doesn't mean they will just be NPC's that is not a limit, thats how dedicated they are to making multiple possible outcomes. They can always lock out massive content if you had people die in ME2 and ME1 for those characters.
Theres nothing stopping them from if you have everybody live through ME2 that you can't play them all. Thats not a tech limit that only depends on how willing they are to make possible outcomes happen in control of the player. I think ME3 is more of a sand box now then ME2 was and its pretty close to one how they are thinking of making stuff continue through to ME3.
People are worried they won't be able to continue their love stories, or able to play along side their fav characters well this article says other wise. http://xbox360.ign.c.../1055366p2.html I'm not worried.
well for me i say something that makes me believe Tali will be in ME3 and then someone posts something that makes my point null so i make another point and then someone else posts something that contradicts that so i have to keep making points to keep Tali in ME3! that fate of all of us depends on it!
Well that was a interview with the creator of the game so I don't see how it could be nulled by anything since its the creators words only if he changes his mind.

Well Tali certainly wouldn't be the same without her body... but still. In her case, her body is wonderful, and even if she has a long neck or whatever it doesn't matter, it's good enough and in her case personality comes first.
well technically she wouldn't exist without her body, unless she was some floating spirit. no doubt her body contributes to why people (me included) like her all i'm saying is that it shouldn't be the only factor you judge her by. It's the same in real life too.

I agree. I like Tali so much because of her personality, not in her body shape. That's also why I'm really not curious as to what her face looks like. I'm fine not knowing what she looks like ... I know my Shepard does and that's fine with me.

Similar to the ME2 suicide mission, but harder and a bit more final...you know to make us feel really good, that we kept her alive...or really **** if we let her die.

Yeah exactly same here!
I'm a bit more skeptic in real life though. I wouldn't be looking at a girl who is obese for example, no offence to anyone here, even if she's a great person.
Tali wouldn't have the same personality without her current body. It contributes to what she is. Imagine her in a krogan female body for example (whatever that looks like, but we get the idea)...

so are you saying if we Romanced her she dies? Then what's the point? having a relationship with her is the main reason we all want her in ME3...

^^ this. been saying pretty much this on other threads and in the groups im in. its the ONLY logical way to do the last installment. if bioware says that choices we make in the first game have an affect on the third, thats the ONLY way to do it. just off the top of my head, im betting on at least 10 different endings based on choices made from the previous games.
i also have this feeling that me3 is going to massive on a scale that we have yet seen in a video game. again, it all ties to the choices made during the first two games, and again, its the only logical way to do it.
Yeah I really beleave if they are true to making 1 and 2 effected greatly by the coices you made in 1, it will be the same for 3 with the chocies you made in 1 and 2 will have insane results surprising limitless bounts for the final chapter. Thats how the creator seems to think in the interview. Hes nolonger going to limit it, hes just going to let it play out as far as humanly possible. I like the sound of that.

i feel the same way. the reason i like tali so much has nothing to do with her looks. granted, im sure that underneath the suit and mask, she is quite easy on the eyes, of that i have no doubt. but, it was her personality that really got me interested in her. jack, ya, i like jack too. im a sucker for ink. the bad girl attitude kinda pushed her away from me at first, but, later you realize thats shes just lonely, and she does open up to you. miranda, well, she got some nice curves, no denying that. at first, i thought, just like almost everyone else, that she was a "humorless ice queen in desperate need of a good humping" (10 points if you get the movie i got that from). but, she opened up later on as well, and you find that there is, in fact, an actual human being underneath that icy heart, and genetically perfect curves.
people get attracted to other people for different reasons. some its look, some its personality, others its a mix of both. to each his own i say.

I was thinking more along the lines of, if you cant convince the qaurians to not go to war with the geth, Tali dies as a result of the ensuing ppl, cos she goes back to the flotilla to lead her ppl.
edit: Cos isnt that biowares thing, that every action has a consequence, what better way to hit home than to kill off our LI for failing to be uber leet

She took the necessary precautions. Mordin (the freaking scientist) didn't even think there would be any problems if we were safe about it. I think he even recommended us... positions... or something. I dunno, I was laughing too hard.
She'll be fine.
