The amount of support for Tali is insane. I didn't join till very recently and didn't realize Tali (as well as Garrus) were so popular with so many people.
namely because people have a lot of history with them. they were there in the first game, and even in the first game were a lot of peoples 2 favorite squadmates. i know i used them both extensively on all my playthroughs of the first game, and i ALWAYS used tali for her hacking/decryption abilities in the first game.
but, they went in and gave more personality to garrus and tali than they did on the other toons imo. tali's fanbase is very outspoken and vocal about her, almost to the point of being fanatical. while garrus does have a simliar following, its nowhere near the scale of talis.

I stand by the statement that Tali is the greatest character Bioware has created. And the fact that she will be in three games, means it's one of the most developed characters. And as you notice, I said she will be in three games.. because she will. This thread will make it so
It's been what, almost two days since the thread started and we've hit 2k? Keep going and we can get a massive ammount in a week. I'm sure most people using this forum have at least seen this thread by now, if not posted in it.
I second EVERYTHING you said there. Genius! No flaming of each other either? in 2k posts? That's an achievement on it's own!

Cmon guys, Tali wants us to keep talking about her to 2500 posts by tonight!
Remember though, this is meant as a discussion too. We don't want an infinite amount of random non-coherant posts. We need to actually go for discussion, not just post numbers. We've been doing good so far, just don't let the idea of a massive amount of posts let loose a bunch of junk posts.
Cuz that will most definitely get this locked. So post numbers aren't that important, what we're posting about is.

Oh, 95% of my posts have been about her. It's just so much we can talk about her, ranging from her character, her people, her ships, her homeworld, hell even her suit.
I predict we can keep this kind of enthusiastic conversation between all of us for a few weeks.
At least.

The problem with that is they seem to emphasize the LI's from ME1 over the new ones, and make it seem like the new ones are just flings to distract you. I hope that ALL the LI's get the same serious attention they deserve, and none get put on the side-lines. Tali is far more important to me than Liara or Ashley or Kaiden, and just because she was not a romance option in ME1 doesn't mean she shouldn't have the same conclusion. I never had a LI from the first game on my loaded save into ME2, so I never cheated. I waited for Tali <3sp333dd3m0n wrote...

I wonder how ME3 will start out. Will Tali still be in his squad in the beginning?
I can't wait for an E3 reveal, at least a HINT of what is happening at the begining. Remember the teaser for ME2? It pretty much just had a lot of space shots and information, revealing Shepard as KIA.. And showing a geth with N7 armor. The rumors were like fire after that.

Im starting to think they might, it seems like as a result of the suicide mission is sidelining all the ME2 characters to simple cameo roles, in order to save money of development costs, cos spending $100k on a character thats dead to a lot of people is wastefull.
i hope not, but thats what i gathered from the interview.

Tali is definitely the best LI in the game. She has a good, solid back story. She's definitely gotta be in ME3 in a substantial role, regardless of if she can be killed.
I have a feeling everyone but Zaheed, Samara/Morinth, Grunt and Thane are coming back in ME3. Thane will be dead, Zaheed will take a new job and Samara leaves to continue her missions (Morinth, idk). That leaves plenty of room for new people/old LIs to come back.

1) They said they want to just let go with ME3, and they don't have to worry about making the story come together for everyone.. They specifically want the story to branch out drastically for each player, and each choice. Let's hope it counts for LI's as well.
2) If you have played Dragon Age, you know that you can choose to kill off and/or tell your party members to get the hell out, and never see them through the whole game. Hell, there are some you don't even recruit if you dont want to.. But they still have a lot of detail put into them, and they are a part of the story. I have faith Bioware will understand that this is the final epic segment, and put everything they have into it, and making all their currently decelopted characters even better. I don't care about new party members, just continue with what they have, and make sure each one is fleshed out and has closure by the credits of ME3.

Hopefully all the loyalty building and recruitment was done in ME2 for that reason, whatever you did in ME2 carries over and you aready have a powerful crew at your side to fight the impossible and win. If you didn't do that then they will prob make you go and find generic crew members to recruit.
Kind of silly to go through all that over again for some stupid reason. We all want the original crew not generic losers we don't even know. They should reward you for having the 1st 2 games like that.

well, i agree with you on that, with the exception of samara. i think samara will make a return (yes im sidetracking from tali for a little bit, sue me) because if you talk to samara at any length, she says that she will return to fight at your side if she is summoned.
now back to tali!

I think we've all got some sort of telepathic connection going on, cuz this is how i feel exactly. It almost seems like the more we discuss this the more like Tali has a shoe-in spot just waiting for her. I just feel like this thread is the push for a more important role. We must remember though, that we represent a very small portion of people who play this game. I'm hoping that the majority of people have played and romanced Tali in their games with Game-Feedback turned on! lol
