i didnt see the ME1 li as dumping you, simply that there was an argument scripted to tempt you away, bioware even said that they''re gonna release the figures of how many ppl cheated sometime soon.

I don't think they'd have to.
Garrus is well developed, and he is in no way at all integral to the story.  The same with Tali -- most of us here think that she is the most well-developed character with the deepest relationship to Shepard.  Yet, except for giving us the recording of Saren in the first hours of ME1, she has done absolutely nothing plot-central, even throughout ME2.  In fact, the only person that has an absolutely essential relationship to Shepard is Liara, and she is also the only character that is impossible to kill.

There is a difference between providing depth to a character and their relationship with the protagonist, and making that character integral to the story.  I don't care if they do the latter necessarily, as long as they continue to do the former.

Well be that as it may, i don't consider it cheating. Tali is really the only reason to me to have a LI. Especially after how bland the LI's from ME1 look compared to her. And you died, so any relationship you had ended. lol. Well i''ve been taught at death do you part......

well, as has been said before numerous times, i think the end-all for the romance is shepard building that house on the quarian homeworld that tali's father promised.

I wouldnt want to settle down for a while.  I'd likely want to travel the galaxy making it better for everyone for a few years at least.   Id hope my LI (tali in this case) would come with me for this.  Her and Wrex.
After that, marrige, why not?  Id really like to help the Geth and Quarians solve their differnces and live peacefully with the Quarians getting their home world back.
