Yes dont waste any time after the abduction. Go immediately into the Omega Relay and don't waste time on any sidetrips. Do that and you can save nearly all of them.

You can save all the named crewmen if you go right in. Including those two.

I went immediately and the only ones you save are the doctor, kelly, and some random dude.

I was disappointed the two techs were not there.

If you do another playthrough, do all the sidequests and anything else you want to do before you go after the IFF. Once that mission is done, go directly downstairs and get Legion's mission before you attempt to fly anywhere and you can finish that as well before the abduction happens. Then you're good to go. Your crew will praise you for how fast you rescued them later.

Those are the only ones you see. After you defeated the EndBoss and are back on your ship - the whole crew is there.

go straight thru relay after normandy is attacked. the cutscene only shows three or four guys but they all should be there on the ship after

I got Donnoly(I think thats his name...) out but Gabby died, their interactions were my favorite of the random crew.

Can't really see myself doing a second play through as the same class. Maybe when ME3 is about to come out I will and read up on how to get the best ending. Though if I do that I will have to play through all the expansions again. assuming there are expansions that is.

My crew died because Shep was too busy trying to get laid. Miranda kept saying she would come up when there was a lull in the action. So I kept doing side quests and talking to her and she said the same thing a bunch of times. When were things ever going to slow down? Finally I said **** it and went to the Omega 4 (Omega 13 anyone?). Then she decides its ok to get naked, right when we are preparing for battle. Not only does the crew die, so does all her LI competition. Tali got a rocket to the dome, Jack died cuz she argued with Miranda and lost loyalty, and Kelly was liquidated.

You have 2 missions until you HAVE to go to through the Omega 4 Relay. If you go ASAP (2 missions or less) you will rescue EVERYONE, but everyone in your party also has to be loyal.

Can I get confirmation that you can still do Legion's loyalty quest ONLY, then go through the relay and save all the crew?
Some people say you have to go immediately, and some people say you get the time to do one or two sidequests.

I want to save Kelly, Donnelly, Gabby, the Chef, Dr. Chakwas, and the rest of my redshirt crew.

I was personally able to do 2 missions before going into the relay and I saved everyone, got the achievement of Nobody Left Behind, all my crew was saved, including the redshirts. That enough confirmation?

I took stock of all the NPCs standing around on the Normandy, named or not. If you go directly after they are abducted, they ALL appear to make it! Even those guys who get attacked during Joker's segment, although one of them is still in the med bay.

ive heard, but can neither confirm nor deny, that you have 1 major mission (loyalty mission) or 2 n7 side missions you can do before you have to head through the relay or risk losing people.  cant speak from experience though.  by the time i get legion, im pretty much done with everything else so all there is left to do is his loyalty mission.

I felt so goddamn bad when Kelly died and Dr. Chakwas said "What the hell, Hero?" at me. I then realised that Donnelly and Gabby were also dead, and I resolved to play the game again with the same character in order to fix it. NO ONE GETS LEFT BEHIND!
