Ra ra ra. Lol, no, ok anyway, just giving shout out to anybody who wants to join up, just so hopefully Bioware can see how much love and support this character gets. Of course, anyone who doesn't like her won't join, but hey, everybody else welcome!

We want her back as a romance and squadmate in ME3. Don't make such an awesome character and forget about her Bioware, pleeease!!

And please don't post if you're going to flame. Just be courteous please...

As long as they change her horrendously ugly face, I'll join up.

Seriously, I liked everything about her but her cheekbones. Bug the sin out of me, they do.

Erm... she will be appearing in ME:3 it depends if she survived the ending of the game as you can import your save into ME:3 from ME:2 when its released unless the Normandy gets shot down again, another company revieves you then you rebuild your team again....

I'd second this, as long as I get Morrigan (romance and party member) in Dragon Age's sequel. :P

Considering she's VERY accurately modeled after a real person, that was just mean (to the model).

Having said that, they should get rid of her constant stuck smile. In the few scenes where the NPC actually DOES smile, it looks like a mix between Harley Quinn and (Batman's) Joker.

I'd second this as long as Morrigan is never seen from again in Dragon Age's sequel. Or we at least get an option to kill her.

I want her to return as a party member. If they give Tali fans the option to have her as a party member in 3 I want Miranda back too.

How can Miranda come back, when she's dead?

Seriously, I would like to have her back. She and Mordin are my two favorite ME2 squaddies, and she is the best love interest from ME2. But the cold hard fact is she could very well have died. Just as any squaddie from ME2. Look to Wrex for what to expect.

I would be satisfied with a substantial non squad role for her. Perhaps she'll continue to be Shepard's XO? But stay out of battlefield duty. Or stay back on some space station, where you can meet her for some... conversation.

Just goes to show why you shouldn't model game characters after real people. Beauty is lost in the Uncanny Valley in this medium.

If i rememeber correctly Bioware said that you will be able to romance same NPC through all game parts so we can say Miranda will be in ME3 but maybe not as party member.

It won't be difficult. I don't underestimate Bioware. Given that even Shepard can die, that means they'd have to write a whole new dialogue and stories for that, both male and female roles.

I don't think it's hard at all that Bioware would keep all if not some of the squadmates if they survived in people's save files. Sure, it would take a lot more voice work, but it can be done, no problem with that.

Well, it's just a matter of how you type something:

As long as they change her horrendously ugly modeled face, I'll join up.

would've sounded nicer. :) (Although that would probably be mean to the person who modeled the face.)

I must say, though, I think it's done quite good - apart from the smiling issue. Animations could of course be better, but that's just a matter of practice - games will only get out of uncanny valley if they constantly try to push the boundaries.

If Shepard dies, that's a game over for that particular Shepard. You won't get to import that particular storyline to ME3, but will have to resort to either the default provided with ME3, or make a playthrough that has at least Shep surviving.

That is the key: Shepard must survive, anyone else from ME2 is expendable as far as the big picture goes. Note that Liara and the Virmire survivor were kept off the ME2 squad for this particular reason, as per Bioware themselves. The only members of Shepard's squads from both games, that are guaranteed to be alive at the start of every ME3 game no matter what, are Shepard him/herself, Liara, and either Ash or Kaidan (who I'm betting will continue to get the "shared role" treatment begun in ME2). In the end, the only really essential character is Shepard, no one else.

The focus on a larger squad was an ME2 thing, just as uncovering the larger plot and getting to know the universe was the ME1 focus. ME3 will focus on something different again, and I'm betting our squaddie options will be more limited. 6-8 squaddies, I'd guess. They wouldn't waste those slots on people who may or may not be in everyone's game.

I would like Miranda and Mordin back. Hell, Jacob too. But Bioware has to cut corners somewhere. As long as Miranda has a reasonable non-squaddie role and will remember you are romancing her with appropriate... bonuses, I'll be satisfied.

No, what I mean is, if you're Shepard survive, they'll use him/her. That's a whole other story/voicework needed. If he died, they'll use a different protagonist, that's what Bioware said. At least I'm almost 99% positive that's the case. That's another whole other story/voicework to be done. I don't see why this can't be done for a few squadmates (the most popular ones).

Nope, that's not what they said, sorry. Posted Image

The Mass Effect trilogy is the story of Shepard. If an individual Shepard dies at the end of ME2, then it's game over in ME2, instead of ME3, and you have to start with a new Shepard at the start of one of the games. Or load an earlier save, and make sure you don't die.

Wrex was by far the most popular squaddie of ME1. Bioware made the choice to sideline him in favor of creating new squaddies that everyone, no matter who you killed in ME1, got to recruit. They weathered the internet anger explosion that resulted from the Wrex decision. There is no question they will weather the inevitable internet anger from the sidelining of potential ME2 fan favorites, who are dead in other players' games. They won't detract from the experience of ME3 noobs and players who got someone else's favorite killed. If any character from ME2 was important enough to bring back, they would have given character shields to said character. And no, this isn't an oversight. They had experience from the difficulties of bringing back Wrex already, so this was a deliberate choice.

Perhaps she can continue as SR2's XO, in a non-squaddie role?

If we even get to have the ship in ME3. It might be yet another new ship, though if that's the case, I'm hoping they don't just destroy the Normandy again. Would get repetitive.

Fat chance. She will not be coming back.

As for Miranda, if you put blonde hair on Miranda she look like Yvonne Strahovski and I wonder why???

Yep, I liked Miranda alot too and would love to see her back. She ended up being very different from the character I thought she would be. Top lady in my book.

No, not really. I don't really find much likable about her. She could never appear again and I'd be just fine. I don't know why people thought getting to know her, and opening up her loyalty mission made her more likable. Heck, I don't even know why people like how she looks . . . she's fairly horrifying in body, and the face doesn't do justice to the VA she's based on.

So why are you posting in this topic then? This is obviously for Miranda fans, like I said in the very first post.
